The Grantown Initiative

"The Grantown Initiative GI was set up in 2013 to benefit the community of Grantown-on-Spey. Grantown is a rural Highland community and the GI undertakes and manages projects for the benefit of the community.The Company’s purposes are:- Maintenance, regeneration and improvement of the communities’ physical, economic, social and cultural infrastructure.- Advancement of education and training, arts, culture, heritage, public participation in sports, recreation and environmental improvement.The GI purchased the Burnfield Toilets via an asset transfer in 2023 and now manages these on behalf of the community. The school pupils designed a mural on the files which greet you as you enter the toilets and a local company keeps them clean."
