This pub is great. As soon as you walk in you get a warm feeling, staff are lovely and friendly. Plenty of space but also lots of nooks and crannies if you want privacy. Very good selection of drinks and on top of that a beautiful garden. Location is a little awkward but worth travelling to. Haven't had the food so can't say about that yet. I will definitely be back soon

Nice decor inside and atmosphere and good for drinks. However, food on a Sunday isn't great really. I had roast pork but when the food came they thought I ordered beef instead. My friend also got rare beef even though she wasn't asked how she wanted it cooked. They did fix the problems quickly but the food was lukewarm, with only 3 shrivelled up dry potatoes and a dry as a bone Yorkshire pudding. The meat was good though. Gravy very thin and watery. This was around 1pm so would have expected the food to be fresh at this time for a Sunday roast. Don't think I'd go back for food but would for just drinks.

The place is very nice, private room and conservatory are perfect for private events. Not sure if I got a bad day, but the food was way below expectations, a Sunday roast looking more like a mess and not truly tasty. The Yorkshire pudding too dry and too big and for all the roasts, not just one. the apple crumble nothing more than stewed apples with rocky caramelised crust. And not cheap either.

Excellent local pub. Very nice ambience, warm and cozy with plenty of different seating options. Great outdoor space as well for warmer days, and useful private function rooms of different sizes. I wish the food was better - that's the one thing that is less than perfect. Good service, friendly staff, and nice venue.

Very nice pub with good house wine. Toilets and bar are spacious with a lovely beer garden with heat lamps. It also overlooks the common which I'm sure is nice during the summer
