Price was appropriate for a one night stay. The room was clean and the bed comfortable and large for two people. Pillows could have been more comfortable. Much higher quality than I expected from a hotel above a pub. The pub was really cozy downstairs. It closes early so noise was not an issue. Aircon also worked very well in our room! We loved the quirky dog art in the room. Walkability: Extremely walkable and close to the underground. Food & drinks: We did not order from the pub downstairs but the menu looked good!
We had a great 1-night stay, and honestly wish our schedule would've accommodated another night so we could check out the pub and rooftop terrace. We were just too tired from traveling to take it in. The room was great, the staff were so friendly, and the location is convenient to the subway. Would definitely stay again if we find ourselves back in London!
Cute little establishment just off Tottenham Court Road. We didn't stop for a drink, but our rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a fan, AC and a nice assortment of toiletries. The only hitch is the need to navigate steep, narrow staircases with your luggage, but the manager is more than happy to help. We enjoyed the artwork dogs in Elizabethan dress.
Great location in Fitzrovia, close to the action but in a quiet pocket. Room great stairs only and the pub downstairs had a great friendly vibe, and even when it was really busy the room itself was quiet. Good food, great deck upstairs but best of all the staff were fantastic and accommodating.Rooms: 5/5
Perfect location, near Tube stations. The room was super clean and very comfortable. There is no elevator but it didn’t bother us. The shampoo and conditioner ran out and we didn't get any more than the ones we got on the first day so we bought in the supermarket. I highly recommend this hotel!!! Rooms: Very comfortable big room Safety: Be careful with the bath. It’s high. I recommend the owner to put grab bar on the wall near the bath for a safe exit from it. Noteworthy details: The Grafton arms pub is great!!!
We had a wonderful evening at the Grafton Arms following an art opening around the corner. We opted for drinks on the terrace as it was a relatively mild evening but we were soon glad of the efficient heaters. Our server Jamila can only be described as excellent in both her professional and hospitable manner. Nothing was too much trouble and what we ordered came quickly, accompanied by a smile. Jamila helped make our night special and is a credit to the establishment. We would like to say a sincere thank you to her and wish her a successful future in whatever path she chooses!
Excellent stay. Clean rooms, well located, and super friendly staff. I very much appreciated them at check-in and their willingness to help. Well priced too. My only complaint is the shower. It is an no-door shower which caused a lot of water to escape onto the floor. I’d highly recommend staying here. Rooms: The rooms looked recently renovated, good space, and well kept.
My wife and I are senior citizens. We recently completed our stay at this establishment. We were quite satisfied with the accommodations overall. The positives: 4.5 overall. 1. We received outstanding and polite personal service. A special tip of the cap for Bogdan. He carried our bags to and from the room. He lowered the floor we were staying on after my wife mentioned concern about the stairs. 2. Room was cleaned daily and satisfactorily. 3. We dined there 2 of the 4 nights and the food was very good, as well as reasonably priced. The service was good. There was a 10% discount for guests. A 12.5% discretionary service charge was added to the bill. No tax on food. 4. The location was near multiple underground rail stations. The underground was a fantastic way to get around. There were helpful employees at each station. 5.Showers always had hot water. Fresh towels every day. 6 Comfortable beds. "Minuses"--Perfection is rarely attained. 1 No lift and steep stairs. Fortunately, we had only 1 flight up. 2. Cramped showers, especially if you are larger. 3. Our room #2 was right next to the kitchen. During evening dinner serving hours there were frequent loud bangs. It's topped by about 9pm. At our age, the less stairs offset the bangs. 4. Small closet. This was a reasonably priced hotel and met the needs of this cost conscious couple. Cheers.
The pub has a fair beer selection, the nice part is the "roof top" seating, although only giving a view of taller buildings it's still nice to be outside and having shrubbery around. Service is more like delivery and the Thai curry is very sweet.
Easy check-in and they were willing to hold our bags both before check-in and after checkout. Had a wonderful experience with the staff and the room was comfortable with AC. Would recommend this as a place to stay for anyone!Rooms: 5/5
