Awful experience. Queued for ages only to be told no flat breads no potato salad no mozzarella etc etc. Ended up with a lukewarm schnitzel with some grated parmesan cheese on top and some flavourless chilli mayo. The staff couldn’t give 2 hoots about the quality of the food they were churning out. Place was a mess and the bland tasteless food over priced. Go elsewhere
Update: been reading that the prices are now inflated. Great sandwiches but not worth >£8
It used to be very good value for money, the schnitzels and potato salad are very nice, however since the "New Menu" which always translates into "we have upped our prices", it is ridiculously expensive! They now charge £0.50 for 1 slice of tomato and £0.50 for 2 slices of cucumber. A sandwich that before was £5.50 now costs £8.50. Just rubbish, have some decency! I used to buy lunch from them at least twice a week before, needless to say I will not be going back.
This place is consistently excellent. The chicken is cooked fresh, the potato salad is delicious, the basil mayo is excellent. But what really sets this place apart is the staff. Some of the nicest, happiest, friendliest people I've ever encountered in a London Lunch to Go spot.
Cracking place for lunch. The Good Schnit offers schnitzel served either in a box or in a roll with your choice of salad. The staff are friendly and seemed to be enjoying some banter with the lunchtime rush. The food is tasty and well priced £4.50 at time of writing for the only option - chicken schnitzel. Note there's no seating so take away only here.
Used to go here every week in 2016. They did sensational salad boxes with the big chicken slabs. Fantastic. Just went back today as I'm back in town and was really looking forward to a schnit. There was always a big queue but they worked through it quickly. I approach and see no queue. Odd I think. Then I see I have to pay for every additional bit of salad. My old meal was about to cost me £11, whereas it used to be about £6.50. And where are all the happy aussie staff? A very different place now.
This shop has massively gone down hill, no surprise there's hardly ever a queue now. Completely restrict you from what salad you can have in your roll, can only have slaw if you pay for cheese which I don't want, and 2 small bits of cucumber are 50p extra. Unfortunate as the quality is good, but they have got greedy and have lost my custom.
Great staff and service, I am not usually a big schnitzel eater but this was delicious. Will be returning and recommending.. Brownie was also yum, very gooey though - can't eat it with your hands. Be prepared to queue. No seating.
Good food, but they run out of it too quickly. The portions are also quite small for that price. Finally, their new card readers are unsecure - completely flat so you cannot feel the buttons... Be prepared to pay with cash or reveal your pin to everyone around...
Used to be really good value, £8.50 for a double salad box with all salad. That's a little bit of rocket, potato salad, coleslaw, tomatoes and cucumber, 2 schnitzels and sauce. Now, it's one salad coleslaw, potato salad or rocket?!, the others are £1 more each, then £0.50 for tomato or cucumber. That means it's £11.50 for the same thing. Now, I understand prices go up, but this makes no sense as: Tomato and cucumber are cheap. And expected. They give you 3 times as much of the coleslaw and stuff! Just give me a little bit of each. If schnitzels have gone up, just raise the price. Don't make it weirdly priced, dull and unappetising. I just ate a box of coleslaw with two schnitzels on top with mayo in the corner. Dull and overpriced doesn't even cover it. I won't be coming back. Nor will my colleagues.
