Great evening meal with decent veggie options. Loved the beetroot tartare and Gnocchi was really tasty, filling and well prepared. Decent ales too. Service a tad slow on a busy evening but friendly and helpful. Lighting in dining room a little bright for my taste. Good lively atmosphere .Service: 4/5
We had sandwiches from the new menu! Highly recommended absolutely delicious! Fresh, tasty flavours! Served with a side of hot fresh homemade chips! I cannot recommend the Cajun chicken & the toasted ham & cheese rarebit enough! Lovely atmosphere & wonderful staff!Rooms: 5/5
Spot on, a very quick decision from the wife to accommodate lunch for our three year old grandson. Not a problem. We had an enjoyable lunch and great interaction with the staff and our munchkin Great food, service, and staff. Not to mention the delicious rhubarb cider. Thank you all!
Food and beer were brilliant. Just what I needed after completing the 3 peaks. Although under pressure and short staffed, the staff were absolutely amazing. Great pub!
Dog friendly with plenty of seating inside and out. Not a great selection of ciders but that seems to be the way with most pubs, wish more pubs would cater for cider drinkers rather than the usual pot bellied folk that drink beer... rant over. Tastefully decorated inside and easily the nicest pub in Settle.Service: 4/5
This is a lovely pub restaurant, with lots of atmosphere. It serves great food that fills you up and is very tasty. I recommend the fish and chips very highly. The pub is dog and family friendly. Easy to get to with parking nearby close to Asda express. An excellent place for dinner, drinks and relaxing.
I haven't seen the accommodation. We had a full English breakfast today. The place is cosy and inviting. The staff we encountered were good. The breakfast was very good both vegetarian and standard. The breakfast was very good overall. We would go again.Rooms: 3/5
The Golden Lion Settle We had a lovely time 19th February the lunch..time meal ..was exceptional. .hot well prepaired and presented .The staff helpful and kind ..The manager showed us rooms . Which were spotless clean obviously an excellent domestic! There was nothing not to like ...we would definitely stay .and eat there again .. .thank you Mrs Elizabeth Greenwood
We had a lovely stay at the Golden Lion. A great base from which to explore The Dales. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful and the food was delicious. Rooms: A lovely room with a comfortable bed. Nearby activities: The Dales are very beautiful and easily accessed from the Golden Lion. Walkability: Lots of lovely walks and only 2 minutes from the railway station. Food & drinks: Lots of choice at the bar, lovely food, especially the breakfasts!
We went for a meal on New Year’s Eve. The menu was varied and had lots of options. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was really good and we would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for a nice meal. There was a folk band which was a lovely touch for New Year’s Eve. Food & drinks: Fantastic restaurant with great service
