Visited for the first time on Sunday 06 May 2018 having parked in the public car park behind the community hospital (£1 parking for the day on Sundays 8 - 6). A short walk to the Golden Lion which has been a Holden's pub since 2017. It has a good range of Holden's real ales and we tried a half of one of our favourites , Holden's Mild, £3.00 a pint. It was well kept , lovely smooth tasting and a welcoming drink on a warm day. The staff and customers were all friendly and helpful , certainly a good addition to Bridgnorths wonderful choice of real ale pubs!

Well worth the wait for the pub to be renovated and reopened as a Holdens pub. Beer is kept well and quality still cider offered as standard. The landlord is sensitive to the ethos of the market town of Bridgnorth and the good reputation the pub had previously. This shows as there is a good nucleus of locals using the pub as well as tourists. We called in early doors for a drink before going out to eat elsewhere. We called back later and the staff remembered what our previous drink had been even though the pub had been busy in the intervening couple of hours. That makes one feel really welcome and makes you want to go back... which we do...regularly!

Friendly traditional pub, with genuine lounge and bar. Well kept Holden's beer 🍺.

Excellent refurbishment. Great beer and lovely atmosphere. Would be 5 stars if the toilets had heating and or were indoors.
