Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, and the most appalling customer service. I contacted them five times beforehand to request a ground floor room, as I am disabled. Not once did they bother to respond. On check in, we were given a room on the first floor. When I complained, not rudely at all, I was told my behaviour was unacceptable. This room was shabby in the extreme, with holes in the walls, mould in the shower and around the windows. The window had no handle, so could not be properly secured. The blind was missing the rod to turn the slats. The radiator was at a peculiar angle. The towel rack was rusting. And the whole room smelled of damp and something unpleasant
Absolutely awful. Despite Charging me £15 for early check in room wasn’t ready/ which was absolutely fine - as I was only popping in to grab the key and didn’t need access to the room- as I was going back late that night from a wedding and they said I needed to collect the key earlier - and not after the wedding. And then insisted I pay £15 to do so anyway- rude and poor service and unfair to charge but no a big deal.nnHe said when we came back from the wedding they would have made up the room by then. So charged extra for an earlier check in but couldn’t check in early as room a mess- but never mindnnThe bed was made when we came back- but that was it- the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned since the previous guest. Old razerblade heads of the side/ wet towels dumped in the shower/ filthy floor/ toilet roll on the floor/ no hand soap/ no clean towels. So disgusting that as there was no one to talk to I had to get immediately up and out by 8am and just do the 2 hour drive home. I couldn’t use the bathroom or shower as it was so filthy and had no clean towels.nIt’s a disgrace to have to pay for the night let alone extra for check in!!!nSide note, and I honestly never write bad reviews - I’m not a moaner despite how the above sounds- but the bed so incredibly uncomfortable- I’m not sure how a bed can be so hard and painful.nnAll in all an awful experience and an appalling place. Such a shame as it could be lovely if it wasn’t run so badly/ so rudely, with an awful beds and filthy amenities. Avoid avoid avoid.
Emailed to cancel reservation 7days prior to my booking with all the relevant information . More than double the time needed in order to have a refund. No reply from the hotel to my email and also the number provided for the hotel in emails and on website does not work. Charged me for the hotel and haven’t heard a thing from them. How on earth the owner has a license is beyond me. Still don’t really know what to do in order to get my money back, or where to report this to but I certainly am going to do that.
Book last week for 2 days for work got asked to move my van in car park. No problem then one of the peaple that stay there come out wanting to fight me because I started up my van an moved it. It was only 8pm. Avoid this place its horrilbe. DUMP
Limited parking space.nShared bathroom, and wc for £39 for one might.not clear on booking.tried contacing the guest hous on 2 ocadions ...no reply..bed was wobbly. Basic as the price.one night ok
