Miserable sour faced grump bag... the younger staff that served us were perfectly nice and i enjoyed my meal but after calling ahead to make sure we could get a tablegroup of 6 hikers the experience was ruined by the senior member of staff that treated us like we just shot her dog... this place could be great if the old lady took her mood and hid in the back somewhere. 2 stars because I genuinely did enjoy the food
good old decor and cosy. Very busy but understandable as the food was amazing. The coleslaw is to die for. Wish it was my local. Definitely be returning
An unassuming looking pub from the outside and very traditional feeling one inside. Efficient, friendly and attentive service by a young but well informed team of staff. Well trained for a guess. The topping on the cake was the amazing food. It was clearly home cooked and the the quality and portion sizes were 1st class. Not your usual pre-manfactured pub food, but proper food. I would have given 4.5 stars but was not able to... The draught ale wasn't as good as the food, and they had run out of Sunday Lunched by 5:45 and some of the desserts, hence the four stars. When in the area I will be visiting again. Highly recommended.
Went here for a meal with a party of 9 + 2 children. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was really nice, everyone enjoyed their meals. Reasonably priced. We will definitely be back and recommend this for anyone looking for a hearty pub meal. Nice selection of specials too.
We wanted to try this pub for food after just arriving in the area. It would seem it is NOT tourist friendly. We stood patiently at the bar for 10 minutes waiting to be served but instead we were totally blanked and when locals arrived after us, they were served immediately. When they could ignore us no longer we were told that unfortunately they were fully booked. Being unfamiliar with the area we then asked if they could recommend anywhere else locally - the answer? Go to either of the 2 nearest towns. Nothing more. Wow, Thanks. We are here for a week and have money to spend but won't be trying to eat here again. It's a shame because it was definitely busy and the food looked good.
Friendly staff, very welcoming and great food at this fabulous local pub. If you're passing, highly recommended. Not big and gets busy though, so worth booking a table.
Passing by and popped in for something to eat. Surprised to say the food was lovely good menu. Staff very friendly well worth a visit.
Brilliant Chilly gluten free thank you, liver dish was very tasty plenty of it. Very young team all were lovely and we would recommend to others we were visiting from Somerset .
Had the Christmas lite bite just before Christmas... Excellent value at £8 and very good food as well.... Washed down with a nice pint of Blodeuwedd... Have already been back since to sample more... Da iawn Glyntwrog
Amazing food portions very big, be warned! and lovely friendly staff. Service was a little slow but they were very very busy when arrived hence 4 stars. Food was worth the wait though and would highly recommend
