Story

Following a little TLC we re-opened in June 2013 to a very warm welcome, in all respects!!

Our aim is to provide a warm and comfortable atmosphere for you to relax in whilst offering you a premium selection of drinks and locally sourced, well cooked food. The Chefs take great care and time to create interesting, seasonally changing menus.

During the warmer months you can enjoy the array of wildlife, that thrive in their natural habitat around the Alresford pond, from our terrace or large garden. The colder months see our roaring log fires lit and the natural beauty of the 15th Century building is bought to life.

We warmly welcome well behaved children and dogs.

This weekend we had our wedding reception here and it really was incredible. Thank you to everyone at The Globe for all your hard work in making our big day even better. A big hug to Karen, we couldnt have asked for a better host. All the way through you were helpful, supportive and full of great advice. Our guests felt warmly welcomed, well taken care of and couldn't praise the venue enough. The place looks stunning. The food and drink was outstanding. The whole thing has been very overwhelming. We are so happy you could all be part of our amazing day. It really was everything we wanted and then some. All our love James & Louise Chuter

Lovely old village pub, situated at the far end of the village...parking is a nightmare. I'm a disabled pensioner and had to park almost 100m away...so about a 15 minute walk for me. From my observations today, there doesn't seem to be any wheelchair access...but I could have missed it? Very friendly staff, nice ales, menu looked interesting and reasonably priced. Great pondside location, plenty of outside seating. No doubt you'll mark this as a 5*. But the parking issues and the access drop this to a 2* from me.

Louise & James Chuter's Wedding 11th May 2018 We cannot thank Karen and her fantastic staff enough for making Louise and James's day so special everything was amazing and we couldn't have asked or wished for more. The whole reception was seamless and perfect from the moment we arrived, the look on our guests faces as they entered the garden will remain in our minds forever. Your attention to detail was very special and every member of your team were a credit to you and The Globe. You took all the stress out of the day and we were all able to relax, enjoy and appreciate our surroundings not to mention the exceptional food. Ihave no trouble recommending The Globe as a wedding reception venue you gave us a wonderful 5 star service. Thank you all so much Helen & Chris Rose Mother and Father of the Bride
