Food absolutely superb, portions are massive. The photo does it no justice, i was foetal for a few hours after! This was a turkey and ham dinner with veg, mash, roasties and gravy. Still dreaming about it. Great value too. I last visited here as a child with my grandparents and the food and portion size stood the test of time. Even had 0% Guinness for the anxious driver who was just craving a pint of the black stuff.
An excellent pint of Guinness, in front of a roaring log firealbeit in a stove in a bar wi a bit of crack, followed by a truly gobsmackingly astoundingly good Gammon steak, about 15 to 18 mm thick and two handsbreadth in size topped with 2 perfectly fried eggs. The gammon was more like pulled pork, so tender and tasty and the eggs were exceptionally creamy. As good a meal as I have enjoyed.
Called in for food yesterday, first visit, it was beautiful! Very reasonably priced, young staff but all very helpful and pleasant. I would definitely recommend !

Called in for a quick drink while out for the day. Nice little pub..like a pub should be! Really friendly staff. Overheard tourists calling back in to eat for a second time so assume the food must be good!

Gave it 3 stars for the beautiful real open fire which is great on a winter's day but not a particularly friendly or hospitable welcome. Haven't eaten in it so can't comment on their food.

This is a very well run bar/restaurant, the owner is constantly overlooking everything, this insurers cleanliness,staff punctuality, friendly environment, and its a great place to get lovely meal, staff are friendly and down to earth and very people first orientated, great beers, great food, friendly environment, what more cou you ask for,,,, ohh yes the desert menu,,, if you've got room,,, you will enjoy a wee day out here that's a promise.
