Christmas dinner. Not good. School dinner quality at Michelin prices. I get it that prices are always very high for Christmas day, but put some effort in on the food. Scallops had grit, turkey dry, food generally under-seasoned. Kids liked the dessert though and the staff were excellent: attentive and friendly, hence a couple of stars thrown in. Will not be eating here again.

Lovely relaxed pub near new malden station with great inside, out fron and out back seating. Lovely selection of ales and wine and better than the usual food you will fond in a pub.

Excellent Lamb Shank and desert for Sunday Lunch. Best to reserve to be certain of a table. Child friendly. Good selection of beers as well.

Went twice now in the evenings with some other women for drinks. The last time we were there the table we found was never cleared so we had to bring the dirty dishes to the bar ourselves. Also, the immediate impression upon entry was a bit of an unpleasant smell which was off-putting and bothered another women we were with. But both of these things could be just chance so didn’t trouble me too badly. Sadly though they don’t have much for beer selection; Guinness is the only option if you want something darker than a lager basically. It is a bit loud as well (but it’s a pub). But the good news is that the prices for drinks were reasonable and the atmosphere/furniture cosy, the staff (once you went up to the bar) were prompt and friendly with their service which I quite appreciate. It was busy but not overcrowded for a Saturday night which was good. I will likely go back.
