It's first time trying the restaurant in the Docklands. It very nice food chickens jalferzi was fantastic flavours. King prawn korai really good. Thank guys. I will recommend the restaurant.
This resturant is truly a gem on the Isle of Dogs. The food was freshly cooked with lots of flavour and well presented. We ordered 4 currys and a biriyani and i would like to say every single curry was delicious. The decor is very traditional and unique. The service was great and price was very reasonable. Highly recommended!
Love the Gaylord! Best Indian in London - a truly hidden gem! Abdul is an amazing host and waiter. We have been coming here for over 3 years now and have never been disappointed.
Rude and Unprofessional Staff: We had called today to order for some food. Upon requesting for some specific food options the manager rudely told us that he cannot explain the menu to us in a very rude manner. I had high regards for this place, but don’t think will ever visit or order from this again. This is very unfortunate as we had loved the food; but cannot order when there is an extremely rude person sitting on the other side of the phone. Extremely disappointed.
Very tasty food, but a bit small portions for the money you give. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice.
Really tasty Indian. Never any issues with the quality and quantity of food and very rarely are deliveries taking longer than usual. They are just busy because they are good. We have ordered from them for almost 10 years now. Great place and a staple on Isle of Dogs.
Overall I had a good experience. This is a truly cozy place with quite a romantic atmosphere. I really liked the decoration, they clearly spent a lot of time and money to make it look appealing and warm. The music also complimented the experience. The menu and the food were a bit disappointing though. When I first looked at the menu I got a bit scared. It is one of the most extensive and longest menus I've ever seen. If you don't know much about restaurants, that's not a good thing. At all. It looks impressive at first sight and you feel like you have a lot of choice, but if you think about it, the reality is that they cannot possibly make that many dishes fresh in a timely manner. Which probably means a lot of frozen ingredients, separately prepared food items heated up together for a speedy service. Unfortunately as I suspected, this is precisely what happened. It wasn't even a few minutes after we made our order and the food was already out and it definitely tasted like the meat and the sauce were prepared completely separately lacking the integration of flavours. It was rather disappointing. I am leaving a positive review however because staff were really nice and the place itself was amazing. They do need to revisit their menu and food preparation techniques though.
Have eaten in and ordered takeaway from the Gaylord on the odd occasion for over 15 years but I'll be going elsewhere in future. Originally quoted 30mins for a delivery which arrived just under two hours later. The odd delivery issue happens and can accepted, but the naan turning up in ripped packaging, half eaten is completely unacceptable. The restaurant offered a refund but it rather missed the point. Very disappointing.
Just arrived and lovely place, very clean and delicious Bangladeshi Indian restaurant.
Love the food, can’t get enough of it. Big problem is the attitude of the waiter who serves here. You wouldn’t even think the owner of the place is so stuck-up. The prices for eat in cost a LOT more than take away.
