Excellent accommodation from beginning to end. Anna was very kind at check and explained all facilities and resolved all my partner’s questions. The stay went smoothly in a very comfortable and clean room. Complimentary drinks in the lounge are definitely very appreciated, and breakfast was also plentiful. Gabriella too was equally kind at check out. Well done Gate in having a team so focused on customer service. I will be back.
Amazing value, clean, comfortable, spacious and friendly. The PROPERTY felt modern, clean and well presented. The main reception and seating areas are full of living plants looking very healthy and lush. As a horticulturist I felt it really enhanced the modern and trendy vibe. My ROOM was great, spacious, clean and modern with a great view from the 19th floor. Booking a studio I was upgraded to the studio with a view which I appreciated given it was my first stay here. The rooms are sound proofed, so had a comfortable and quiet nights sleep. The STAFF were lovely, greeted by a friendly receptionist when checking in. We had a chat about the plants but she really added to my great first impression. When checking out, the process was quick, efficient and friendly. In SUMMARY I would most definitely stay again. Amazing value, comfortable and friendly. I highly recommend staying you, won't be disappointed.
We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. My girlfriend and I stayed for our anniversary. The room was really nice and and the bed was very comfortable. This is important to us as my girlfriend has some issues with her back. Of particular help was Sebastian I believe he was the operations manager, I had some questions about places I was visiting while staying and he was very pleasant and helpful with this. All round great hotel and staff.
I would give this hotel a 3 out of 5 stars if it wasn't for the amazing service that we received while we were here. I really did enjoy my time at this hotel. The room was decently clean, the free coffee was delicious, the space was modern and had an authentic suburban feel. We extended one more night, and got the night for the cheapest rate possible. There was also mostly flexible check out time that we ended up not needing anyways. My chief complaints with this place are three things. For the connecting rooms, I highly suggest concrete or more soundproof doors get installed. I heard the smallest of footsteps from my next door neighbor, and when they were on the phone during the late hours of the night, it kept me up. We ended up getting moved to another room over it. Secondly, two people go through towels fairly quickly, so having our towels replaced more often would have been beneficial. Third of all, the breakfast was okay, but could have been better with a bit more variety or an "à la carte" menu with more options to choose from. I greatly appreciate the help we received during our stay, and the alcoholic drinks were reasonably priced too. I would stay here again.
The location is very good in zone 1 of Aldgate East. The hotel is very new so all the facilities and rooms are new, modern, stylish and fully equipped for longer stays. Complimentary coffee and tea from the lounge is always nice. The staff are 100% top notch, always smiling and happy to help where they can. Thank you to all the staff at reception and at the lounge including Ali and Bianca! I've had such a good stay and felt so welcomed. The hotel also offers complimentary events throughout including 6pm yoga's on Mondays and Wednesdays for all guests! Thanks guys! Sharon
A very good stay in a good location. The room was very quiet and well furnished. The staff was kind and professional. But not really possible to cook inside for breakfast, it's OK and you have to wash your tableware. I didn't see the microwave. The security is very importantRooms: 4/5
Great experience with a really friendly team. Room was well thought out and had everything I needed. The lounge with endless coffee and cold drinks looking out over London was an added bonus. Will definitely look to stay here again next time I'm down.
We had a fantastic stay at the Gate. Location was ideal - very close to Aldgate East and walking distance from the train station we were using Liverpool Street. We enjoyed exploring and eating at nearby Spitalfields Market too. The hotel itself is clean, spacious and very modern. Staff are lovely and really helpful. Overall, I can't recommend this place highly enough - well worth considering for any stay in London.
I stayed in one of the apartments and it was such a pleasant stay , the room was very good and very well equipped, the lounge is always a great place to relax after a long day , not to mention the fact that one of the most beautiful tourist spots in London the tower bridge is just a few minutes walk away, the team is as always lovely and one of the friendliest I’ve had the luck to be meet. Worth mentioning is the night team Daiene is aways great wherever we need .
I enjoyed my stay here. The place was tidy and clean, my check in was smooth, quick and the hotel is great value for money. One of the staff members, Yozlem was professional and provided a great customer service, I felt welcome there. If another opportunity arises, I will be coming back.
