This place is a hidden treasure it's beautiful. We'll worth a visit. Membership is great too. This would make a lovely birthday present . The tea room also has some delicious treats. You can come and go as often as you like.
Saw all the fairies and dragons as well as the beautiful garden. Had a great time, even in the rain. The staff were absolutely lovely, making a real effort with my 3 year old and letting him help in the garden centre
Lovely garden with plenty to see right at the end of October. We loved the colours of the acers and there were any other late flowering plants around. The Gardeners and volunteers were both friendly and helpful. I would certainly hope to visit the garden again at a different time of year.
A magical journey at The Garden House with fairies and dragons hiding round every corner. My 3 granddaughters enjoyed the experience yesterday. Enchanting and so much effort taken to make it a magical place.
We'd been meaning to visit for a while. The weather wasn't ideal, but we went anyway, as it was my birthday. Helpful staff, a lovely café and stunning gardens all made it a good visit. Stunning, in the promise of even better things to see later in the year when thousands more plants would be in flower. My 'birthday cake, was scrummy :
Stunningly beautiful gardens, naturally laid out.Lovely restaurant with excellent food and coffee! Staff, particularly Christine made us feel very welcome! Definitely one of if not the best garden I have visited! Loved it !
Excellent gardens with vivid colour and foliage throughout. Can get pretty busy in the summer. Great cafe which is reasonably priced. Some really great specimens and a credit to all who work and volunteer there
One of the most beautiful gardens we have ever been to. No 'route' just wander at will and all plant very well labelled. Many unusual plants and the design is wonderful. Do go.
Always a beautiful garden to visit. However, please be aware that for some unknown reason or stupid decision, they have got in some cheap & nasty outside catering, so the café has no healthy food, like it used to have. You can still enjoy the gardens; just bring some sandwiches and a flask of your own. Also a lot of trees have been cut down and their garden centre has suddenly become very overpriced. Thankfully, there are no play areas here. Only guide dogs are allowed here. The toilets were a bit smelly on this occasion and the disabled toilet was sort of in the Ladies. Generally disabled paths, ect, are very well sign posted. Parking for disabled is good and they also have a lower car park; for those who may struggle with the hill. There are lots of beautiful places to sit in the gardens, which are much nicer than standard picnic areas.
This was a lovely day out, the gardens are stunning especially the Walled gardens. My 2 year old had a great time. There are a lot windy paths to explore but there are also plenty of accessible paths for prams and wheelchairs.
