We dropped in today for a midweek lunch. We found everything to be exceptional. The pub is well laid out, sensitively decorated and with a pleasant ambience. Our meals were excellent in every way with great attention to detail - fish and green vegetables cooked perfectly and were very fairly priced. Service was warm, informal and friendly with Hannah excelling. It would be hard to eat here and not be delighted. Thank you Fuzzy Duck!
From arriving early evening to leaving the following morning, the staff are all very friendly and welcoming. We dinned in the restaurant and the chef was more than happy to accommodate our requirements. As for the overnight stay, it was absolutely spotless, comfortable and warm. Unfortunately we had to leave after a good variety choice of breakfast. Fully recommend a visit even if your just passing. We will definitely visit again!!!! :
17th September 2022 We had arranged with staff and management that our son was going to propose to his partner during our meal and that we would have a small child with us. The table setting was perfect, the staff were amazing and did everything possible to make it special and, of course, the food was outstanding. We could not recommend the wonderful service, staff, food and venue any higher.
Came to the Fuzzy Duck for an overnight stay and meal. Room was comfortable and well appointed - large bed, Bose speaker, all Baylis and Harding toiletries. Room smaller than anticipated -no chairs to use desk/watch TV - but still lovely. Noise doesn't appear to travel between rooms but does travel up from the restaurant which meant it was difficult to get to sleep until the restaurant closed. Had an evening meal in the restaurant which it thought was surprisingly good value for the quality of the food. Would recommend the beef to anyone - it just fell apart! Breakfast in the morning was well thought out - providing enough selection but not too much. A lovely place.
We were looking for a fine dining restaurant in the Cotswolds for a family celebration and the Fuzzy Duck did us proud. Thank you Andrew chef and team for a superb taster menu put together specially for us, and thank you Hannah assistant Manager for taking such good care of us all evening. The restaurant doesn't normally do a taster menu but they were willing to do it for us and the food was exceptional. Well done and thank you for making a special evening even more special!
What can I say? A close friend treated me here for a big birthday. What a fabulous evening! The food was superb, the service attentive without being intrusive and I was treated to a surprise plate of petit fours with a candle to blow out. Oh, and complementary B&H toiletries and a birthday card were waiting for me on the table. I can highly recommend the Fuzzy Duck.
Eaten at the Fuzzy Duck twice so I'm generously rounding up to 5 star because the first time round was simply perfect, second not so much. To start, the venue itself is beautiful and incredibly well presented. The food is top end gastro pub fare. Limited menu perhaps, but brilliant quality the sautéed mushroom starter is absolutely beautiful. Drinks menu is amazing, great draft options and the cocktails are great. The drawback for me is that there seems to have been some staff turnover since we were there last and I would say they have lost some experience. We were welcomed well enough second time around, but communication was pretty lackluster and general service was stone cold average. Not much chat at all. Either way, definitely worth a visit.
We went here on Tuesday night for an anniversary meal, the staff were very welcoming and attentive. The food was great, the plates were hot and the local beer was fantastic. They even had an anniversary card and small gift on our table on arrival. Thank you Fuzzy Duck
Been twice before for lunch during the week and was excellent food and service. Went on Sunday 25 Sept for Sunday lunch and was most disappointed. Order nibbles before starter which came with starter and this was after asking twice for nibbles. The starter of fish cake was hard on the outside. Main course arrived lamb was all fat with very little meat between the fat. Vegetables for excellent. Creme brulle was disappointing very pale in colour not the same as when had before. The Manager was very apologetic and did not charge for one of the main courses. We will not go for Sunday lunch again.
One of the best restaurants in Warwickshire. I would recommend booking in advance, and be hungry enough for at least two courses. Really good service. Excellent food. Great wine list. Spacious. Comfortable chairs. Great soap and lotion in the WC : Ample parking at the restaurant or down the street.
