I'm a regular and would of gave it five stars but ordered last night about 35 pounds worth of food. Chips were under cooked and at least half were black! I was physically sick after it. Pasties are nice as are the burgers as is most of the food except the chips are poor at best. You are a chippy so chips are important to get right. Sort it out!
Have only used this place twice, but both times I was very pleased. Food was delicious and the counter staff were friendly and helpful. On the first occasion the lady that served us gave us plenty of information on how to download The Frying Squad app and register online for their reward scheme. Will definitely be back.
Bought on JustEAT, I'm not giving a 1 star for poor food or delivery time, but customer service. I ordered some burgers and one was missing in delivery which is no problem errors happen, but I tried calling 5 times. They picked up and hung up on me, then JustEAT tried to call them and the owner and no response. Thankfully JustEAT can get my money back. This is my first and last order with them I'm afraid, which is a shame as I was looking a good chippy to go to other than John Dorys .
Food was meant to be delivered for 18:00 didn't get delivered till 18:35, didn't receive full order as they got it wrong so rung up to tell them and was told i wouldnt receive the right order for another 45 mins, the food was also cold the chips were like cardboard and the batter on the cod bites and onion rings was soggy . Completely appalled by this service
Called in on the way home for a 'jumbo chip's @ £3.70 to share between two being a jumbo portion etc... Took 15 mins to cook, got home in a couple of mins and opened the bag. Half a bloody portion and soggy white chips all for £3.70. If this was a jumbo chip God forbid what a regular portion looks like. Never again. Chips now in the oven to finish cooking. If I could attach a picture I would.
Could be a good chippy but the portions do not meet the price tag I ordered a fish supper and thought they gave me a child's meal the fish fillet was like a fish finger I will be going elswere for a value for money fish supper I future
Food nice staff friendly but disappointed with the size of the cod ...hope I was just unlucky on the day I will try it again
Good selection of food, pity goujons has pepper in them, but good portions over all,
Didnt enjoy at all. Chips half cooked, batter on steakette soggy and also on fish bites. Would not get from here again
Lovely food. Not the biggest fish I've seen for the price.
