We stumbled upon The Front completely by chance after a morning at nearby Margam Park. The first thing that hit us was the warm welcome by the staff and the second thing was how the waitress seated us in a lovely warm spot it was a cold day. Our meals were enormous and very tasty. When one of our group couldn't eat everything the waitress happily brought her a takeaway box. The cost for three meals and three colas two large and one regular was £49.75, which we felt was excellent value. We will definitely head to The Front again next time we find ourselves in Aberafon.
This place is incredible for food. Weird service from staff, not smiling, long waits between interactions, they seem to walk around in friendship groups, asked if we wanted the bill before we had seen the dessert menu. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting, after an hour drive a bathroom break was needed before ordering, as I walked into the corridor I could see a used nappy on the floor of the disabled toilets, the women’s, had a broken toilet seat, a broke hand dryer, on overflowing bin of blue roll with none left to dry hands, and a 3/4 full sink of dirty water that was not draining. Thank god the chef can cook!
Great seaside place that serve some good fried chicken and burger.nnPlease be aware!!!!!! - the Diablo fried are super spicy and yes the waitress has warned us but ever the less try it anyway you have been warned!nnWaiting time was about half hour and they’re not dog friendly after 5pm inside on the weekday but dog are welcome anytime for the outside bit.nnIf you enjoy reading this review, please give me a thumbs up and follow me for more contents. First visit. Had 30 mins. Managed a very tasty cheese burger and fries. Pint also. All under £20. Great service, friendly staff.
I ordered a salad that contained partly rotten tomatoes, which is completely unacceptable and should never leave the kitchen. Thankfully, the supervisor handled the situation professionally and promptly addressed the chef’s incompetence
