Beautiful church with fantastic stained glass windows. No one else in there so I was able to wander round at my leisure.
Great church to visit, and has a great story to it as well. :
I couldn't go inside, but five stars for being a beautiful building from the outside
Went in today to have a quiet word with God. There were two volunteers in the church one of which slammed down a collection plate at the end of the pew and on the shelf in front of us was donation evelopes seemed the only thing that was wanted from us was money much like Ofgem who have turne d most people's lives into poverty. Felt not welcome and left more upset than we went in.
We attended a funeral here and despite the occasion we found the church was lovely. The minister, staff and undertakers were fantastic. Our service was well delivered and very moving considering the minister stepped in at the last minute due to a last minute change of date.
I had been to the church during Christmas and it was a wonderful experience.
Peaceful and beautiful. Nice and warm. Lit 3 candles for my nan, my friends mum and also my friends nan. Warm and welcoming. Thank you for the wonderful visit . Nice to have the church open and able to freely walk and relax. Very much looking forward to being able to come back again. Posted a couple of pictures . Thank you .
Went to the 9.30 Easter Sunday Eucharist yesterday. Sadly we did not find the church to be especially welcoming. Also still stuck in a sort of Covid time-warp.
We drive from corby to this lovely church please keep the screens on,people very friendly and helpfu in the meantime we would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas and a happy new year, Paul and Margareta. Xx
Disappointed to find out that this was not actually a temple dedicated to the Ancient Greek god of wine. Different spelling. Instead it was built to honour the Christian god of wine and bread Jesus, who could make the stuff out of water apparently. Wine served every Sunday. Water provided in a big stone bowl at the front.
