Nice decor and staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive even when very busy.nnThe very fact that the dog was offered chicken instead of just your usual sausage was enough to gain the five stars itself!nnWe were lucky to be placed in a booth where our dog felt nice and safe under our feet like she had her own special space. That let us relax and enjoy the great food.nnA huge thanks to the staff.
Dropped in for lunch, First time we had visited and we were impressed, service was great and the staff efficient and friendly. We had a wee dog and there is an area to the front of the bar specifically for dogs, water bowls are provided Food was freshly prepared, we had Taco's / Bagel with Pastrami and bangers n Mash, all were lovely. We would definitely return to the Fox - 5/5
Stumbled upon this fabulous place and the manager went out her way to squeeze in our party of 8 and our dog. Such a friendly atmosphere with an amazing food choice which was very reasonably priced.. they also had some fantastic live music on which was a bonus. We were so lucky to find this place.
Close to the water or if you are driving there is parking nearby.nnDog friendly with a number of tables near the front for this purpose. We went partly for this reason and it was good to be able to sit inside.nnVaried and interesting menu with good specials. We went for the chicken wings, fish burger and cajun fries. The fish and chicken had a bit too much batter on it which ultimately has cost a star although the fries were nice.nnCould not fault the service and staff and the place has a nice feel about it. Can imagine it will be even better at night if in for a few drinks.nnRecommended.
I popped into The Fox for a cuppa this afternoon and a cake after I had a long walk. I was advised that the seating area was booked so i was offered a seat at the bar which i was happy with. I only ordered a pot of tea as I didn't fancy the cakes. After 15mins I asked when I could have my pot of tea. I was advised by the guy who said I could sit at the bar that there was 7 coffees to be made before I could have my tea. I couldn't understand why someone couldn't put a teabag in a pot of hot water. So I waited another 5 mins. Total time waiting for a pot of tea 20mins. To say I won't be back is a given. Good customer service costs nothing.
