Nice family friendly pub with a substantial Sunday roast on offer. The staff are friendly, polite and approachable. I couldn't choose whether to have, beef, lamb or pork; oddly no chicken. Luckily they have a mixed roast where you can choose two or all of the meats; that sorted out my dilemma. Out of all of the meats, the beef was the most disappointing, it was overcooked, difficult to cut and very chewy. The lamb was better and the flavour was good but the tenderness and succulence of the pork got my vote. The next time I'm in the area, I wouldn't say no if someone suggested Sunday lunch at the Fox.
Love this place! We were happy to come again after re-opening. Refreshed interior and new menu definitely made us happy. So nice to sit in the garden with lighted bulbs. Proper fish&chips, burgers. My family was absolutely happy!
Lovely pub with very welcoming staff and very nice food large portions especially the kids ones with a hard to pick from special menu as well. Puddings just as good, highly recommend the trio. The pub is a 10 mins walk from Butlins and if you are staying the good food and beer is a very welcome change. Very recommend.
Great food, well varied menu with vegan and vegetarian options. Service is good and a fair selection of drinks available. There is a reasonably sized beer garden. Service is ok usually takes about 30 or minutes to get the food once ordered.
After checking google reviews on pubs in the area I was staying in over the May day weekend I came across The Fox Inn and reserved a table for myself and the wife. We arrived a little bit earlier then our booking time and was greeted and reassured by Oli that it was no problem. We ordered our drinks and were shown to our table after checking out the menu we decided to go for the mixed meat Sunday roast whilst waiting for our food its easy to see the atmosphere in the pub is very friendly and welcoming its the kind of pub you wish was your local. After about 20 minutes from ordering we received our food which has to be said was bloody lovely, we were very impressed with the amount of meat on the plate it was so tender and tasty with a good amount of vegetables and yorkshire pudding. A fantastic Sunday roast dinner in a lovely welcoming pub with great service from Oli. I definitely recommend visiting The Fox Inn if your in the area you won't be disappointed we will definitely visit again. Well Done
Great atmosphere, food was amazing but one thing that did bother me was on multiple occasions my friend was ignored over other people even though they had been standing at the bar waiting for a while. Apart from that lovely place.
Great pub with a lovely garden. They did a BBQ the time I went which looked delicious.
We held the reception following our Son's Christening at The Fox and received the best service. The buffet was wonderful and the servings generous. The team were great too, especially George who ensured our party was well looked after and we had everything we needed. Lovely venue, amazing team and superb food. Highly recommended.
A lovely historic pub with a delightful spacious garden. Freshly prepared, delicious food with a good choice for vegetarians, and portions are huge. All staff are friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again.
The food here was amazing literally amazing....... service amazing lovely outside seating area and very covid safe.... Get yourselves booked in looked as though every table was reserved and I can see why.....
