The service was okay, but the food was extremely poor. The soft drinks came from large bottled cokes, which were flat. The wraps we ordered had a single piece of chicken in them and just padded out with lettuce; it was extortionately priced for the quality of food we received. Additionally, they added a service charge of 30% as standard, with very mediocre service.
My wife and I were really disappointed with Fox and Duck Buntingford we decided to visit after a long walk and sat in one of the pods. After buying drinks one of the bar staff came out and said that we would be charge £15 for sitting there but would only get £5 back. I understand the need for a deposit but as for charging people £10 to sit and drink at a pub! Its unbelievable. I have never been charged to sit at any other pub in my life. Very poor form Fox and Duck Buntingford
Fantastic pods with lighting and heating in the garden. Theme nights so Thurs is curry night. Thai or madras this week. I choose Thai it was so tasty and delicious. My partner had madras and it wasn't too hot. Served with rice, naan, small pickles and little salad. That topped off the portion in a bowl perfectly. Wooden framed Pods were Well lit and warm. Lovely setting with hale bails else where in area really set it off even had a duck visit us too. Will be booking again ASAP.
Fantastic afternoon tea.. Plump sandwiches, delicious cakes, & fabulous service to your cute Covid secure pod. You can add a jug of Pimms, gin, some fizz or just tea & coffee. Just brilliant.. Book now.
Pub beautiful and seating area especially the private pods are brilliant. Went on a Saturday night, which had an American burger type van. I had cheese Mac, which was very tasty, just a shame that the advised 15 minute wait was actually about 40 minutes.
This is a lovely family run pub! The service is brilliant, with a variety of different meals offered, from home cooked to street food trucks. Along with a good selection of draught beers and spirits. The new outdoor dining area with the pods make bringing the children along for food so easy. We love coming here and would highly recommend to others.
Good beer selection. However, staff were quite rude.
Outstanding COVID precautions. They've spent so much to keep their customers safe. Their hygene is incredible. And it's still an excellent, fun pub to drink in. Don't know anywhere if feel happier drinking during the current unusual situation. Plus their curry and and roasts are outstanding; the guest street food vendors are also great. My favorite local pub.
Stopped off on a nice sunny Saturday.Pint & a half of lager at the bar £5.90.Retired to the garden to enjoy the sun & get some of the street food being sold very good, recommend the goulash Waitress service for the second round of the same drinks & was charged £7.90!!!!! Did not tip waitress.
Had a great family get-together in this lovely atmosphere pub. Great street food from the van and lots of outdoor pods. A nice find on the edge of Old Buntingford.
