What an excellent find!! We were looking for somewhere to eat on our way back from Edinburgh and gave this place a try. The whole experience was faultless from start to finish, the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, the food was absolutely excellent and really good value and the beer was marvelous as well. Highly recommended and will definitely be using this place again. We had the Scotsman burger Angus burger with black pudding& haggis Mac& cheese, steak& ale pie. We also saw another table having the cocktail tower which looked REALLY impressive and tempting
Excellent night at the Foresters, my group of 11 thirsty and hungry rugby men were looked after very well. The food was very good and well worth the money. I have no problems recommending this pub/restaurant.
New menu which is great. Grant and the staff are so helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Emma and Abby. It's getting busy so you might need to book. Lemon Meringue is worth saving space for!

Many thanks to Lara and staff for an excellent lunch. We had the sharing roast platter for 2 and were unable to finish the spread - roast pork, beef, gammon, half a chicken, a selection of veg and Yorkshire pudding. Lara provided 2 take away containers both required to take home what was left. Unfortunately we had no space left for dessert - hopefully next time we'll sample that .
Put up a sign outside- update social media- ** keep places for walk inns-** it’s not just about locals- Very disappointing as came upon this place and to be told fully booked all day all night. Turning away customers turning away business- **Keep tables past for people who are not local have not booked and found a new place to try on there traveling
Visited here this week for a bite to eat. I had the Steak, my partner had a Burger, both were absolutely gorgeous! Honestly it’s the best lunch we’ve had in a while, and we eat out a lot… The lady who served us was warm and welcoming, really kind and friendly. We finished off the afternoon with a game of pool, yep they have a little pool table as well. Would definitely recommend. We are looking forward to coming back, thanks for a great experience.

Very friendly local pub serving food, tea and coffee as well as alcohol parking to the rear, prices very good, staff very friendly
A strange place which doesn't seem to have decided quite what it is. It looks promising but some decor gives mixed messages. It was very quiet the day we visited so service was good. We opted for fish and chips from the small menu and, to be honest we have had better. It was on the greasy side although the fish itself was delicious. Worth a stop.
