Good times to be had by all! Food was lovely and location even better. Staff were really friendly, but I could tell they were struggling a little. Lots of tables full of glasses and plates let the place down a little. However, food served and beers were lovely and the garden is well kept and quite a special place. Would definitely come back again
Great pub set in the Hampshire woodland which surrounds it with lovely walks. The pub itself is in keeping with its surroundings and has a lovely homely, cosy feel to it. The staff are super friendly and the place is very dog friendly in the bar area only with treats and water on hand for your four legged friends. The food is very scrumptious, with different meal sizes to suit your hunger, and came out in very good time and piping hot Although this place is on the pricier side, it's definitely worth a visit as the ingredients used are of higher quality and doesn't look like the Brake Bros warm up jobs you get elsewhere. We will definitely visit again when in the area.
Coming to place like this first what I expect is a good and tasty food. Unfortunately not in this place. I had expected some freshly made burger in country of beef but I had some non quality deep frozen thing quickly cooked and served, that is shame especially with this price should be with fresh meat and of course person taking order should ask how cooked I would like. Home made lemonade was perfect. Stuff is bit chaotic trying to be everywhere but that create problems and in 5 minutes two different people come and ask me same thing instead bit of my order was forgotten. I give 3 stars believed it will improve
Fantastic pub/eatery tucked away in the forrest. Staff were friendly and the menu is quite varied. I had the baked Camenbert then the chicken wrap. Very delicious indeed!
Not been since before lockdown, has always been a very special occasion place as quite pricey. Staff and ambience wonderful as always, but we were a bit disappointed with the food. It was good, but not spectacular like it used to be.
Totally spontaneous stop and totally great. Really pleasant staff and the food was amazing as well. Classic burgers were really nice and moist with the overall portion suitably satisfying. Nice space externally with few garden tables could be updated but I appreciate this time of the year only certain type would decide to eat outside. No Guiness at the bar but I guess this is covered by the comment about certain type above. Many thanks for a great lunchtime experience.
Original plan was to walk my collie, but because I used their car park, I had half a beer to pay patronage. Good job too. Lovely ale well kept. After the walk, in need of refreshment, I decided to have another fine ale. Whilst waiting I saw the food there and decided try their burger. What an absolute delight. Will be back when I am in the area
Fantastic. Went there for my wife’s birthday today. Sunday roast absolutely lovely. Some of the best service I’ve experienced in a long time. They really couldn’t do enough for you and were friendly yet professional. I asked to add a gratuity to the bill and the manager seemed a bit shocked! Well done Foresters-we are coming back.
Wow what a place, been by this place numerous times when visiting my brother and he finally took us here. We'll worth the 30minute walk. Lovely and welcoming staff, nice and warm inside. A lovely pint and the food....wow!! Rack of ribs highly recommended. Can't wait to come back!
I hadn't been to the Foresters in years, but my Son In Law has a birthday lunch there one Sunday. Nearly all 8 of us had the carvery, which was certainly the best roast dinner I've eaten in a pub most are a disappointment in my view, but this was excellent. The rest of the menu looked good too, so we're going back to sample that soon!
