We weren't there long, only stopped off for a pint. We sat outside and received table service. Staff were very friendly and polite and knowledgeable about what drinks they offered. Pleasant atmosphere. Food that passed us looked and smelled lovely. I can't award 5 stars purely becausr we didn't make use of all the facilities.

We had an early evening meal here. The food was very good, freshly cooked, hot and tasty. The service was OK, it was quite difficult to get the attention of the staff because they were more focused on getting the tables ready for the next customers. Overall though, not too bad.

Food was really tasty - I had the Haddock Sandwich with salad. Kids has burgers etc and all the plates were empty by the end. Staff very friendly  - would definitely go back next time we are down at The Lakes

The food here is very tasty and classic pub style. The atmosphere was very cosy and christmassy. My husband had the fish and chips huge portion! and I had the pie of the day which was absolutely delicious. I would also recommend trying the cask of the week and gin of the week!

I would rate the food 6/5 if I could. Great sized portions and decent price. Cosy little place with friendly staff! 10/10 would recommend

Excellent pub, brilliant atmosphere. Central location.

Covid 19, social distancing good, staff very thorough. Food excellent with generous portions. Would not hesitate to visit again
