Absolutely lovely place. Food was very delicious. In here the staff really takes care of the customers. We had a really nice experience with our breakfast, some ingredients were out of stock and we were given different options to replace the original ingredient. I know a lot of places where they just say "we don't have this/that, sorry", but here at the Flying Horse we got the impression, that customers really do matter. Definitely going to eat here again, when going next time to Manchester. Lovely place
We came in here for a cheap meal. On walking in none of the staff seemed to know what they were doing. We booked a table for 8 but nobody new where table was. The staff behind the bar didn't have clue who was in the que to be served. On the bright side, the food was good and it was a cheap price £9 for a small mixed grill. We didnt wait long for food either.
This is a brilliant place to bring the family for really nice well priced food and drink. Better still if you like planes. Will be going back again.Food: 5/5
Came in for breakfast yesterday, but my brekkie burrito has gone from the menu, had to settle for a good old full English with hair of the dog to wash it down. Great cure for hangover Food: 5/5
As a picky eater myself, I find it quite hard to eat at a lot of places, but I am quite happy to say The Flying Horse is a go-to for a nice family evening. The food on the menu is wonderful and you there's a wide selection for you to choose from if you are perhaps more picky. It is also very adaptable for your own needs and that is always a benefit. The staff are super nice and respond well to you, and that helps make it so nice. The waiting times are also quite low compared to other places, and the price is nice and affordable. The planes flying over also make it quite fun, spotting them, and the decor inside also reflects that. The decor is very nice as well, traditional but nice and what I'd expect. Fond memories and have been coming here since I was young. Would recommend for anyone.
Came for lunch today with my mum and son and the food was lovely. The chips were crisp and the baguette was just enough. The staff were really friendly and also happy which is great to see, which goes to show a good manager I'm assuming the very bubbly gentleman this creates a great atmosphere. Will definitely come back.
Visited the Flying Horse for an early dinner with my hubby. It wasn't busy which was great because the last time we went there were quite a few families and there were exceptionally noisy with kids running wild. Our waitress was lovely, we ordered a sharer a few starters rather than a Main course. Most of the dishes were nice. Reasonably priced. On the whole, a good visit.
Young girl behind the bar very polite and helpful. I have food allergies so don’t like eating out that often but she goes out of her way every time and also made my aware of these gluten free peronis which I now loveFood: 5/5
Excellent ran well organised pub, good food and outstanding service. Very busy pub ,but Manager on duty dealt with expanding queue waiting to order food and drinks in a calm and efficient manner. He seems to lead his team by example. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our waitress, Julia was exceptional she was cheerful, friendly and very pro-active. She went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and satisfied customers. The food was excellent and good value for money especially in this day and age. We were all very impressed and fully intend to return again soon.
The food is what you’d expect from a pub—and offers great value for money. While it didn’t wow me I tend to prefer gourmet cuisine, I can’t fault it given the prices. The dishes were tasty, well-priced, and included some healthy options. A nice bonus is the small, fully enclosed kids' area at the back of the pub, allowing you to enjoy your meal while keeping an eye on the little ones. Parking is easy, and the staff were friendly with quick service. If you enjoy watching planes, you’ll love the location near the airport! Made me want on holiday Overall, we had a meal for two adults and three kids for under £30, which is impressive in 2024. I’d recommend it for a casual family outing! Parking: There is plenty of parking and easy to park Kid-friendliness: Small enclosed playing area which is great with some tables adjacent which is a bonus as you can have a drink and or food while close to your little ones
