Busy Saturday night, but service was great and food was fantastic, the portions were massive. We wanted to eat and see a band but would come back just to eat! Great place, staff so friendly, well done to all.
We booked a meal on 14 September in the pub for our close family for a celebration in the afternoon and then The Barn function room for a party with other family and friends in the evening with buffet and the in-house DJ. It was amazing! The food was wonderful and co-ordinated beautifully. The staff could not have been more helpful or accomodating throughout - especially since there was a band on in the main pub that evening too which, at no point impacted on either the service or the function room! We would highly recommend booking a function here, we cannot fault the service, food and attention to detail. Absolutely fantastic 10/10
Went for the first time for Sunday lunch, we were a party of 4 adults and 2 children. The initial service for the orders and the drinks were quick and efficient but due to it being a busy Sunday the food orders were quite slow. I had the beef and the rest were gammon. All were a great size and very tasty. We all praised how good the food was. For pudding we had the cheesecake and the sundae, again the wait times were long but without saying anything our bill had two desserts removed for the slower than normal service which was very nice for them to notice.nThey also offer a delivery service which we might try in the future.nOverall a very nice meal and would definitely recommend for all ages
Great pizzas on a Monday for £5, great quiz on a Thursday for £1.50pp and well priced food to boot. Great for a weekend evening visit too if you’re on the beers or daytime for the footballs. Top pub, landlord is very present and involved and train to/fromnBeccles within 30 seconds’ walk can be handy.
Don't cook Sunday dinner! Order one from the Dutch man instead. Excellent value good selection of veg beef and gammon delicious. We are first time customers and this is DEFINITELY going to be a regular thing especially in winter. Looking forward to the next one
