A little disappointed, hopefully a one off bad day - there were several complaints re slow service of meals for other guests, mix ups with food orders and our order came without crisps and salad garnish, which whilst not the end of the world isn't what was advertised. We didn't complain as staff seemed overwhelmed as it was. Hope they can rally as it used to be really nice for gluten free options and a good place to visit.
I haven't visited every coffee shop in Ashbourne, but I can guarantee this is an absolute banger. A lovely team running the place. Very friendly, very accommodating. It was no problem for them to charge my laptop whilst I was working. Coffee and food was great. So good, I brought a party of ten back the next day. Kid-friendliness: They welcome dogs nevermind children! Wheelchair accessibility: Tables inside and out, easily accessible. The toilet was down some steps so not so good in a wheelchair.
£25 for 2 breakfasts that were clearly cooked from frozen, that didn't match the menu. Two fried eggs cooked differently on the same plate Server struggled to understand me, and there was long wait for the food, despite it being a quiet Sunday morning. Partner enjoyed her cappuccino, my americano was very bitter, probably cause of the saltiness of my bacon... Maybe I went at the wrong time because the other reviews suggested it would be a nice place to go.
Awful place. The food came out very quickly but was inedible, really cheap quality and not Cooked properly. After 20 minutes I chased the drinks and Was ignored whilst the staff had an argument. Finally got my OJ after waiting at the till or ages, but was served in a tiny glass, after ordering a large. The flat white never materialised and it was all so bad that we just walked out and cut our losses. Awful service. There is a much nicer looking cafe around the corner but we only spotted it afterwards unfortunately.
Most of the staff here were lovely, and they were clearly overworked. When our order arrived the chef was really rude - he asked who the meals were for and when we didn't instantly reply said "come on wake up" really rudely. Then when my order came it was missing parts I order the breakfast sandwich and they forgot the crisps and salad. I asked to have this and the chef's tone was quite aggressive - he said "Oh really you want crisps and salad". There were also a few other mistakes sausages missed out of the English breakfast and my salad had not when washed, there was dirt on it which were not such a big deal, but in combination with the chef being really rude to us through no fault of ours it made it quite a negative experience.
A really nice bacon butty. You may think that it would be hard to get wrong, but this was my second attempt of the day. The first gave my two shoddy, hard, tiny pieces of bacon on dry, sliced-bread. The Flower Café gave my succulent bacon slices on delicious granary bread. The coffee was great too. The service was quick and friendly. Mostly local /regular patrons in, which is always a good sign.
Paid 25 pounds for two breakfasts and drinks the breakfast was not good at all sausages were reheated couldn’t eat as they were so hard. Very disappointedFood: 2/5
Place has a very nice ambience. Very friendly staff. Veg full breakfast was ohkish but English breakfast is great. Blood sausage in particular are very tasty.
Nice friendly cafe, we just had coffee, but a few eating food. Very clean and warm Parking: Small town car park, £1.50 per hour
Best breakfast I've ever had! Freshly cooked, the sausage is the best I've ever tasted, we couldn't finish the large breakfast it was absolutely well worth the trip and the staff are lovely
