This is a pub. With good, hot, pub grub. Excellent selection of gins and beers plus many more drinks. It is not fine dining, but, it was a lovely pie and chips and the welcome is excellent. Biscuits for our dog and a bowl of water for him. Friendly and happy staff. Really traditional pub. There are screens for sports matches but unless a big game is on, they are unobtrusive. As a new dog owner, I have found somewhere that I can't wait to return to. Not been at night for over 10 years so can't comment on nights at the flag
Great pub watching football, great food and service.
I go here quite regularly as its the local for my parents. The selection of beers is great and the staff seem to know about all the guest ales and can advise me on what I might like to try. The food is good quality pub food, and I love the atmosphere with the locals and their dogs!
Food was very poor and 2 meals were over cooked, my friends burger was undercooked and sent back. they hadnt got most of food that was on the menu, they had no white sugar for tea, they said they had no milk then found some. They had no salad, A dog that i thought belonged to the owner because it was roaming around in the dining area had its mouth and paws on our table and was slavering all over it. Would not recommend ! This was 3 months ago !
Went today for lunch, food was lovely and fast, pub in a quiet spot out of the way lovely interior, old style pub with lots of local history! Will be back if we are in the area again x
Lovely pub great friendly staff very helpful.
The food was outstanding, especially the Yorkshire pudding wrap, really good value as well as you'd pay 3 times as much a mile up the hill. Oh and the girl with multi coloured hair and the Pikachu tattoo pulled the best pint I've ever had, not a single drop of beer down the side of the glass!
Great food, but chilly. Wrap up in winter times
Friendly service clean and comfortable. Good menu choice, eaten a few times never disappointed. Hot and tasty and very reasonable. For those who like football it's an interesting place. Great prices for drinks too.
Great local pub, excellent range of beers, good atmosphere
