Lovely Mother’s Day meal. I had a cheese and onion pie with chips and a selection of vegetables- this came to £15. Then I ordered the cheesecake with ice cream which again was lovely. This came to around £9.50 if I’m not mistaken. They were accommodating to a change in meal for a little one and the roast dinners looked lovely for £14- which is only £1.50 more than Toby carvery and a whole tastier. I then took my little boy to look at the fish which he enjoyed
A sterling dinning experience at a charming restaurant. A rustic but modern atmosphere, a well stocked bar, helpful and friendly service. Great value menu and excellent food. Two veggie options on the menu, cheese and onion pie and Mediterranean vegetable wellington. I opted for the latter and really enjoyed it. The drive up is a bit of a trek from the main road but the views and remote feel are worth it. Unfortunately I was driving so didn't get to taste the whiskies, also didn't have the wallet to take a bottle home but did grab a couple of bottles of whisky flavoured beer to enjoy at home. I will be venturing over again at some point in the future.
This is a hidden gem in the countryside, top quality food, reasonable prices and superb wine and whisky. In addition to this the lovely owners have luxury apartments a stones throw away. I can not recommend this place highly enough or the luxury stables that are pristine with a countryside view and water feature, its idyllic. Just proposed to my partner this weekend, the retreat food was excellent and the stables accommodation owners arranged the room for me with flowers, wine and a marry me balloon!! Special mention to Don the Chef and all his team and the wonderful owners Liz and Hervie, who made us a full english breakfast that was unbeatable before we left………We will be returning.
Haddock and chips is VERY good tried my fiancées cheese and onion pie, and that was stunning service is impeccable, though the restaurant was quiet, the restaurant itself and the location is beyond beautiful. we're definitely coming here again.
Passed a sign on road and remembered going not long after it opened years ago. The road is a bit windey but beautiful setting high up overlooking Ramsbottom. Staff welcoming, beer fine, v.good menu. Had mince & onion plate pie followed by Bakewell Tart & custard. Perhaps more of a venue than a pub - bit posh foe me! Worth a visit.
We held a surprise party here at the weekend, and the whole event was superb from start planning stage to finish the staff patience when the shots started!. Huge thanks to Gillian who pulled off a fabulous event; making everyone feel very welcome and supplying us with delicious home cooked food. Thanks again, brilliant evening enjoyed by all.
We had our Sunday lunch here this week and was not disappointed. The food was up to the usual standard, excellent. I have a disability that restricts my hand and arm movements and so asked if my steak could be trimmed of fat and cut into pieces, this was no problem for them and carried out with the usual smile from staff. I would like to thank all at the Fishermans and will definitely be returning. PS the steak was fantastic.
A lovely restaurant, we had the fish and chips deal and it was delicious so naturally we ended up ordering dessert which was gorgeous. I think the thing that really makes this place is the staff, they really go above and beyond to make sure you have an enjoyable time! They are a credit to the business! We would highly recommend.
Brilliant - went for Sunday Roast - we had been before years ago but decided to go back - WoW brand new dining room with great views modern and airy tables well apart so didn't feel crammed. The food was superb see the Sunday Roast pic - good choice for others who didn't want that and the selection of wines and draught beers really good . We will be going back Excellent value for money - Up with the best Roasts I've ever had in fact I would say it was cheap for the quality and the quality was superb.
Excellent food. I had the lamb 5 ways which was delicious. Hubby had the beef curry which was very tasty. Only spoiled by the fact that last orders was at 9 and they wanted our glasses at 9:15 it would have been a good idea to inform us when we ordered the drinks as we was looking forward to a leisurely drink after as it was my birthday Having said that we would still come again. Parking: Ample parking
