A fairly decent chippie around Chiswick area. Fresh fish and crispy batter, really generous portion of chips and salad on the side. Would be overrated to say it is the best one in London though- the fish itself could be softer.
Nice place with traditional fish&chips. Both fish and chips are really fresh but bland, not seasoned. Some salt and pepper will do the job.
Fantastic food freshly prepared at a reasonable price. Went to Harry Ramsdens the day before but this place serves better quality food at half the price. If you are visiting Swanage definitely get your superb fish and chips here. You won't be disappointed
Had the large Cod and Regular Chips, both cooked fresh, took it away as all seating was taken up, chips were lovely but the star was the Cod, lightly battered, flaky, cooked to perfection - but Fish n Chips always taste better next to the sea anyway!!Food: 5/5
Had cod and chips here today. Wow!! Absolutely delicious!!! Cod was freshly cooked and melt in the mouth tasty, the batter was perfectly cooked and really tasty without being heavy. Chips were perfectly cooked with no burnt bits and very few little end bits. Service was spot on and premises were very clean. Well done guys!!! Excellence all round. Very highly recommended .
Excellent chips and fish cakes. Fish is very tasty, not greasy, fresh oil. Saw a review saying low quality, ate there with my girlfriend and both agreed probably the best fish and chips we have had. Highly recommended.
We were recommended this place above all others and it's clear why... The food was amazing. Good portion sizes and prices were fair. A few minute wait for a fairly large group order but to be expected. It got very busy around lunchtime so be warned - go earlier! Also has some picnic benches outside and plenty of seating in the square adjacent.
The fish tastes fresh and the batter was light and there was not too much of it cooked well tasted good but the small portion was child sized. It's good you can still do the salt and vinegar yourself. Thanks
So disappointing given the misleading hype here on google and the queue outside. The chips are okay, but the fish is not good, with claggy batter and cod that had been out of the sea for a fair while. Really would not recommend, its very much 'adequate' rather than 'good' fish and chips.
Excellent fish and chips for dinner, on a lovely visit to Swanage for a trip on the Flying Scotsman Food: 5/5
