This pub smokes their own meat and makes their own jerkey, the pizzas are probably the best I have ever had. There is a nice relaxing atmosphere and a good selection of beers. I have been here a few times now and I look forward to going back. Also on Wednesdays they have some very talented people playing some acoustic guitars which you can just sit and chill out to. The staff are so friendly. Such a good pub!!

Lovely pub, delicious food, I had a pizza with Home smoked pork shoulder with caramelised onions and peppers. I was there on the last Thursday of the month when they  having a jazz jam ...awesome night. But I guess any day or evening is a good place to restore yourself.

Delicious pizzas and fantastic for real ale. Loved the real fire and cosy, family-friendly welcome. We only popped in for drinks and crisps but ended up staying for dinner and the Sunday afternoon quiz!

The best pub with the friendliest staff and wonderful landlady. Superb beers and the best pizza you've ever tasted and a large garden and to top it all, very dog friendly. You won't be disappointed.Rooms: 5/5

Proper pub with proper people.  Staff are great and the pizzas are thin, crisp and damned tasty. Plenty of choice, you won't go wrong, and the beers are well kept and not the average fare.  I drank the Green Jack golden best which was excellent.  Next time I shall explore the Redwing Dark Amber or the Sweeny Todd Red best bitter, neither of which compute but I'm sure will taste amazing.  A definite recommendation for a good night out.  Wish I lived closer but lucky me I have a friend who does so I'll be back!

This pub isn't just any old pub! It is a place where you can relax with its cosy and warm ambience in front of a fire. A place with incredibly welcoming staff who make you feel like part of their family. A place that serves the most delicious specially selected pizzas the heaty meaty is an all time favourite and drinks. The Lion is a must visit!

What a fantastic time, live music, great IPA, fantastic pizza.  This is a pub at its very best. Friendly staff, a packed bar and a great atmosphere.   Just brilliant.  We will most definitely be back.
