Received an afternoon tea box as a raffle prize through YRDR. It was absolutely lovely so fresh & more than substantial. Will definately buy this x
To be fair, the food is average. For which I would have awarded three stars. However, don't be caught out by the confusing menu. I pointed out the confusion to the owner and suggested a very simple way to improve it but he simply ignored my comment and insisted that I hadn't read it properly. I assure you it was the menu at fault not me. Despite admitting that others had also misread the menu, his attitude was somewhat aggressive. Hence, just two stars. So, no more visits from me! Instead of arguing with your customers you should pay heed to what they think. You've lost my custom and that of all my employees!
The couple who run this shop are lovely. Friendly and polite. A sign in the shop reads enter as strangers leave as friends and as it was my first time there it certainly is this. My partner ordered sausage bacon and tomato I had cheese salad and both were great. Will definitely be a regular at this lovely shop. Try it you won't be disappointed.
Just ordered 3 of the luxury boxes to give as gifts as unable to go for a meal at the moment, tapas, cream tea and gentlemans dinner. They were presented beautifully with a gift tag also. Really good value for money. Easily enough for 2 to share. Excellent customer service and 3 very happy customers. Thanks again x
As my husband does not have a particularly sweet tooth, today we have treated ourselves to The Filling Station's Gentlemens Tea. And we weren't disappointed ! The presentation was excellent, all food contained in a cardboard hamper, beautifully set out, and such a selection of cooked meats, pie, sausage rolls, scotch egg, pate, ham and beef, bread roll and butter. All complimented with pickles, piccalilli , chutney and salad. Cheese, grapes butter, strawberries, scones with cream and jam. We have in the past tried the afternoon tea from the Filling Station and I can honestly say that they are both delicious, of good quality and competitively priced. Wholly recommended.
This is a lovely little sandwich shop in Birstall run by owners who actually care about what goes in to their food. Lunch Specials are always spot on and the portion sizes go above what you would expect for the price that you pay. Today I picked up a chicken tikka salad sandwich and just look at the filling.... Staff are always pleasant and run a very covid-secure venue which is what other venues should be doing too.
Lovely place! Had a family breakfast box to take away. Food was delicious, well cooked and staff more than happy to meet my needs. Friendly service. Thank you again
Had a gentleman's afternoon tea for father's day today. Absolutely fantastic! Fed 2 and a little one! The attention to detail and presentation was beyond expectation. Just fantastic.Superb value for money. Thank you x
Just got back from visiting down South. Called for breakfast and got another large breakfast bap. Fantastic...too much to eat in one go lol, save half for later best value by far.. See you in morning
