Visited along side my family and we were completely satisfied with how great of an experience we all had. The food for a start was exceptional, the scallops and mussels went down a treat! And the sharing platter was more than enough between two people. The staff were so friendly and helpful, that’s including the pub dog who is lovely. The atmosphere and decor was charming and casual, the location was really good. Close to many attractions such as a few vineyards which we had visited prior.
Very tasty food and very friendly Service also for dogs :D Our favorit Pub in Stone in Oxney/ Appledore. The Backgarden and the view in the Front ist very nice. There is an opportunity that you can get free Wi-Fi the password is noted on a blackboard inside. The price-performance ratio is very fair.
Excellent! The burger inside a wrap was delicious and a twist on the usual thing you would expect. My wife had the seafood pasta which was great. The bread and cheese starter was really tasty. Great latte in high glass cups and brownie and ice cream. The service was also top notch, always checking on us without being too much, great tone and care. And in the sun the setting was lovely and with little wind on the outside tables.
Excellent food best in the area ..we eat their regularly ..Sunday lunch, steaks and devilled kidneys we especially good. Very nice in summer too outside ...and very cosy in winter. Staff are lovely as well. You do need to book but I find can always get a lunch booking after 3pm on the day
Great food, really friendly staff and more pub dogs than you can shake a stick at. Food was way above your standard pub food! Also great veggie selections on the menu. Highly recommend.
Lovely place for lunch on a summers day. Dogs welcome in beer garden and bar area. Food really good quality, reasonably priced. Staff very friendly, our orders seemed to get forgotten but bar staff apologised for delay and we were happy with meals when they came. Car park opposite which is free and has lots of spaces.
Great food, way above usual pub food, with a lot of options. We had melted Camembert, escallops and rib eye steak, simply delicious. Quick and efficient service, and a friendly dog! Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.
Very pretty country pub situated, between Ashford and Rye. Idyllic views to be seen in the day and at sunset. Lovely Sunday menu with very generous portions as well. Definitely revisiting in the future.
Fantastic pub, really friendly staff, amazing food. Highly recommend, we will definitely visit again.
Good selection of food on the menu. We were a party of 10 and food all arrived at same time. I had a Sunday roast, which came with cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes, roasted carrots and beetroot, broccolli and a Yorkshire. They will do a smaller portion if you don't have a huge appetite. Did was nice although a little too salty for my liking, but that's a personal preference Good selection of traditional desserts. There were vegetarian options but not many. Lovely fire in main pub which created a cosy atmosphere. The pub was next to an old toll Bridge so was steeped in history. Plenty of outside space for those who want to eat/ drink outside and has plenty of parking. Would recommend.
