Friendly staff. The home cooked food was lovely and good value, you can eat in or outside. Portion sizes are good and the veg fresh. This pub has beautiful views over the River Tamar. Nothing better than relaxing with a glass of something while listening to the water and watching the sun go down. They have rooms so you can stay too.
Really nice pub and hotel overlooking the river, water, and bridge. Fantastic location. Staff are helpful and friendly. The views are to die for and nice walks further along. The pub is nice with good food. The rooms are very good view wonderful views. A really good place to stay at good value.
We stopped here for a 5 day break the owners ,staff, and the locals were very very friendly the rooms were spotlessly clean as were the bedding and towels. The view over the river Tamar is to die for and we even had an impromptu evening with the local Morris dancers. The food is really worth the money but be aware the portions are very large, even the breakfast menu goes above and beyond.
Great pub with rooms.. This was a last minute choice, however will definitely stay again.. We got there on pie night and they were amazing.. Waking up to the view of the harbour was an added bonus..Rooms: 5/5
Very nice one! Nice view from the room, very comfortable bed, good water pressure in the shower, friendly & polite staff, tasty breakfast. Enjoyed staying there. Highly recommend Rooms: 5/5
Friendly staff including the chefs, Great food and very good value. Fabulous steak and chips and cherry ice cream was delicious!!!
Booked for dinner on New Year's Day. Great steak and good homemade style roast dinner. Service very good. Homely style friendly pub.
Booking was very simple, and glad we did , service was excellent first class,, everything was cooked fresh , and order came out , lovely and hot , everything was perfectly cooked, staff was very friendly, and helpful, we stayed for a lovely home made apple crumble, which was lovely, the atmosphere of the building was lovely, even though it was full ,the place wasn't noisy, and we were able to chat without shouting at each other, we will definitely be back , highly recommended to anyone in the area , lovely place to be.
Very friendly pub with a good selection of ales, lots of local trade so well used always a great sign .
Been here a few times and always get great value for money. Was very busy this time with people enjoying the sun. But service was good and we all received our food very quickly. Word to the wise, their portions are generous. A few of our party had the mix grill and struggled to finish, even my nephew who has a good appetite.
