Excellent venue. Happy very polite staff, great atmosphere. We were sat fairly central but this worked well in the end. The burgers, as expected, were fantastic. Cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly, arranged perfectly. The fries were great too, recommend the topped fries. The regular fries are still great however. Drink choice average unfortunately with all beers at pint prices, but only can sizes - however, very large choice of drinks available. Felt similar with the lettuce wedge, more of a slice of lettuce than a significant wedge. Desert not spectacular but I think they know this hence the smaller choice of desert available and high price for desert. Would maybe go back if I was in the area, but not in any particular hurry.
Had the most amazing burger ever. I ordered on of their chicken burgers and it was the most soft, mouth-melting, tasty chicken and burger I’ve ever had! My boyfriend had a beef burger and he said it was amazing as well! Fresh hand cut fries were over the top! Prices were around 14-16£ each burger. A must try dinner!!! Dietary restrictions: I am a very picky eater and they were able to take off the burger ingredients of my choice and make the fresh hand cut fries plain with salt instead of cajun
Went for lunch with my two boys, one in a pushchair. The staff were really helpful and helped me carry the buggy downstairs. Food was delicious and my 11 year old said his chocolate milkshake was the best he'd ever had. The kids portions are really generous, 11 year old usually has adult meals now but the older kids menu was plenty big enough for him. There are some really nice cocktails as well as the amazing burgers. Kid-friendliness: Very child friendly with lots of options, including a create your own burger.
So impressed! Food was SO DELICIOUS and came RAPIDLY. Experience was smooth and 10/10 overall. We ordered Trash Browns and VGN Wachos as starters, and they came shortly after the drinks. Both were absolutely delicious, but especially the Trash Browns - the liquid cheese was INCREDIBLE! The Candy Floss cocktail made our tongues feel sophisticated; there was layers to it! Burgers were scrumptious, but we were quite full after the starters. Hand cut chips are offered instead of fries, and these come with Cajun seasoning. Dedicated vegan spot on the menu, and most of the sides you could make vegan if requested! They were obviously very busy and couldn’t seat all the big groups coming in so book in advance if in a group, but they catered to as many people as possible! Although they were busy, the staff looked relatively calm and content, which is always a green flag for a hospitality business. It’s an underground place but there was good lighting and the interior had lots of open brick. We sat by an old fireplace which was cool! Seating was well arranged. The waiters were super efficient and helpful one provided takeaway boxes when we asked and was super friendly about it! Lots of stairs so I don’t know how wheelchair accessible it would be? Perhaps there’s another entrance? All in all a wonderful experience and would love to return.
Tempted by the menu for this place as the photos looked insane! The food did deliver exactly as the pictures looked, but maybe we weren’t hungry enough as both meals seemed excessive! The taste and quality was great but after a while it all felt too greasy. The salad wedge although a simple item was absolutely delicious and needed to cut through the rest! Worth going but make sure you have an appetite
Amazing burger, excellent service from team although manager who seated us didn't seem too happy about it. Also got a shake, can't wait for the Glasgow venue. We were a group of 11 on Saturday 12th Feb.
Amazing food. Great vegan and veggie options. We go back time and time again because it's so good. Definitely my fave burger place in Newcastle
Let's start with the not so good. The location is in a basement. Maybe the ventilation is not good enough so it smells a bit. But... Once the food arrives you won't remember that. The burgers are really good. I had one of the butter milk fried chien burgers and a milk shake and both were really good. The burgers come with fries or chips. The friends I think have rosemary salt on it which is a nice touch. The kids meals are a generous portion. The burgers can with one patty but otherwise it was the same as the adult burger. The kids milkshake is half portion but was otherwise the same as a full size one.
Still the best burgers in Newcastle. Amazing range of both beef and chicken burgers, with good vegan and gluten free options too. Great variety of flavours means there'll be something for everyone, and each concept is executed perfectly. Fries are also great with lots of topping options. Highly recommend for a casual dining experience.
Very catering staff when I informed them that I had a dairy intolerance. They were more than happy to swap the brioche bun and cheese to be vegan for me. The burgers were great, staff were lovely and service was fast. After our favourite restaurant in Newcastle shut down my partner and I have been trying to search for a new favourite restaurant and I think we found it. Will certainly return more often! Looking forward to returning.
