Fat Crab brought me out of my review hiatus. I can’t recommend this enough.nnMeals were well seasoned, potatoes were crispy on the outside and yummy to the last bite.nnDecently sized portions. I was so full, I could barely breathe.nnService was great.nnI recommend the jumbo scallops starter, was an absolute delight.nnPrepare for messy eats, it’s totally worth it.
The seafood at The Fat Crab is undeniably delicious and fresh, which I appreciated. However, the experience left a bit to be desired in other areas.nnThe prices are quite high compared to market rates, making it feel a bit overpriced. Additionally, the service could use some improvement. There were no recommendations when placing our order—simple suggestions, like getting fries to dip in the sauce, would have been helpful.nnWhen the seafood bag was served, the server just placed it on the table without explaining how to enjoy it properly like cutting the bag and pouring it out to eat messily, which is part of the fun. We also weren’t provided with essential seafood tools such as crab crackers or picks, which made it hard to enjoy the meal to the fullest.nnOverall, while the food is great, improvements in service and attention to detail would significantly enhance the dining experience.
I had a lovely time there yesterday. Ordered the snow crab and added prawns, corn and potatoes with cajun sauce and a side of garlic butter dip. The crab was so yummy and was the star of the show obviously but the rest was delicious too. The only thing I was surprised about was the potatoes. They looked like baking potatoes thus were a bit fluffy, crumbly. I would normally have it with baby potatoes. But no problem. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend!
We enjoyed a delightful seafood feast, indulging in lobsters, snow crab, prawns, and mussels—all of excellent quality. The Cajun sauce was absolutely divine, and I highly recommend it! Our server, Anda, provided exceptional service, carefully guiding us through the menu and making sure our little one was well looked after. It was a fantastic experience, and we’d certainly visit again!
Loved it! Delicious sauces to go with the snow crab sweet meat and the prawns. The Cajun fries are tasty and the calamari was perfect! Lots of flavour and spice! Looking forward to my next visit to try more!nYou can bring your own drinks, you just need to pay corkage.
