I visited for a date night with my partner, we didn’t have food but we had 3 cocktails each. The cocktails are on the more expensive side being 2 for £15, meaning we spent £45 for 3 drinks each. I’ve been to places in Chester and Liverpool that have cheaper drink offers but we didn’t mind paying a little extra as the drinks were presentable, made quickly, strong and also tasted amazing!nnWould most likely come again.
The food was decent overall. The fish and chips were slightly overdone, but that can happen and didn’t ruin the meal. More frustrating, though, was the service — when I tried to order an espresso martini at around 8:10pm, I was told no because the coffee machine had already been turned off. That’s unreasonably early and gives the impression the staff were more interested in closing up than serving customers. Overall, a disappointing experience for the price you pay.
Was unsure of where to eat Sunday evening but I wanted a light bite and a glass of wine. I selected the Bookies Sandwich and it was a perfect mix of filling and still light. The chips were crisp and the flavour of the sandwich was excellent. The value was great for what I received and I can't wait to go back on my next visit. Staff were friendly and attentive, atmosphere was very mellow inside.

Had a lovely reasonably priced meal here. It was very friendly, great service special shout out to Sally!, high quality, nice atmosphere. Our 4 month old twins slept right through, our 4 year old niece was suitably entertained by the crayons and colouring in provided.nI’ve been before during Focus Wales and had a great time out in the very nice beer garden too. It really is a great venue and covers all bases of experiences very well.
