This is a 241 review as I forgot the first time, but it was so good we revisited. The standard of service is exceptional, a true team working together. The food on both occasions was superb. If I'm going to nitpick then avoid the veggie burger but the meat burger, Sunday roasts, fish & chips, pizza and desserts are all recommended. Kid-friendliness: Great menu and lovely staff Parking: Plenty of parking
Came for Sunday lunch. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was very good, I think I was the only one who had an inedible Yorkshire pudding though. Sadly the biggest complaint was that the food was barely luke warm. We heard another customer complaining that there food was also on the cold side before we ordered so it was as shame this was not addressed immediately.
My wife and I went for dinner last night . We were both taken aback by how cold the dining room was and said to staff we were surprised the fire was not lit. He said we will be alright as we are by a radiator..... which was stone cold . Heating was not on for at least the duration of our meal . But they did bring out a small blow heater. Service was slow and when our main course arrived it was only just warm . Sent it back to be warmed up. The food we had was tasty , my wifes lamb was very nice ,but the orange sponge dessert was tasteless with no sign of oranges.... We were given a 30percent reduction on the bill and many apologies. It will be a while before we try them again...
I really loved this pub went for a few leaving drinks with a friend and the staff were very helpful finding a drink I liked and the pub was warm on a cold, rainy day so happy! Dog friendly which is nice to see. I would go again to try the food as I didn't try any while I was thereService: 5/5
I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The health hazard ramps with wet mud and slippery deck were a major safety concern for the pre-booked dome that we paid £45 for. Despite booking in advance, 3/4 of the roast menu options were unavailable and other sections of the menu were also running low. The staff didn't listen to our drink orders and the mint for our cocktail was unavailable. It seemed like one thing went wrong after another. To make matters worse, the manager's apology was apathetic and the overall management, service and staff were poor. I would not recommend this restaurant due to its lack of organization, poor service and indifferent staff.
Went there for lunch a few weeks ago. It was a nice pub and the food and service were both good - although being lactose intolerant my options were quite limited as a lot of mains had dairy in them.
Great welcome, friendly staff delicious food, the pork starter was amazing. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. Bed was comfortable and room clean. Great view out of the bathroom window. We had our dog with us and there is a good walk from the car park to a beautiful church. Do visit the Hatton locks 5 minutes away.
Lovely local pub, we just popped in for a pint so no comments about the food.Service: 5/5
Went to the falcon recently and was totally distressed and appalled by the waiter. The waiter in question was named James and he was rude and moody toward me and my wife. Apart from the horrifically rude and abusive waiter it was lovely. The food was lovely and all the other staff were friendly and kind.
Sunday Lunch. Beautiful vegs, nicely presented. Lamb had lots of inedible fat and at those prices id expect to be able to eat more than 60% of it. Told and shown waitress, no apology from chef or at least a free drink. For that reason we wont be returning. Service was polite and timely. Mojitas were fab
