The Falcon at Warmington
"With fine food, an extensive list of spirits, wines and local beers, joined with outstanding views across the local countryside, we hope that the Falcon will rein high on your list of places to dine or enjoy a leisurely drink. Our bar sits at the heart of all things, presiding over the garden room which is flooded with light and the large roaring central fireplace that creates a snug feeling throughout the pub. There are plenty of smaller rooms off the main thoroughfare to squirrel away in for a quieter bite to eat and two outside terraces to choose from set within flowerbeds bursting with seasonal flora."

Fantastic pub. Lovely friendly welcoming atmosphere. Great food. We went on a Sunday lunchtime without booking. They were busy but fit us in there were only 2 of us . I had the Nut Roast Sunday dinner and the other party had fish and chips. Both were excellent. For dessert he had the sweet waffles which as I had to try it we thought were the best waffles ever tasted and I had the mini pudding of sticky toffee pudding and ice cream and coffee. I love it when there is a mini pudding and coffee on offer as they are just big enough to hit the spot without feeling like you have overdone it! Staff were very friendly and efficient, it had a lovely log fire in the centre of the room, cosy but spacious feel with lovely views over the hills and there is also a dog menu! We will definitely be back again!
Good Friday calls for a good meal out Location A little drive out of Banbury Town centre but easy enough to find and very close to the Herb Centre. The views across the local area are beautiful if you're lucky enough to get a window seat. Interior Everything just hits with country pub whilst being super clean and somehow also modern. Very tasteful, and the chair I had made me feel like a king on a throne Exterior The views Service We were seated quickly and the service was quick but not rushed. The waitress didn't bother us too much with checking in but somehow seemed to be there whenever we needed anything. Food So we had the Chicken Gyoza to start which were okay. First time I had them to be honest and I just didn't rate them. But then the burger came, I got the steak burger with added pulled BBQ Beef. When it arrived you just knew it was going to be good, the crispy pancetta and oozy cheese. I swapped fries for chips because chips beat fries and these were solid chips! Crispy outsides and fluffy insides. Han had the chicken burger and said the batter was a bit salty but I loved the little bit I stole, the homemade coleslaw also really Indulgent. Price Not the cheapest place in the area but also not that expensive. £25 per head for starter and mains we had but i could see steaks were a bit pricey. Guess it depends what you have. Overall Has to be a 4.5 on this one, I had high expectations and it delivered. Gorgeous food, beautiful surroundings and a fair price. I will be back!
What a beautiful place, so clean and very festive with Christmas decorations and roaring fire. We had the roast beef dinner which was delicious. Staff attentive and polite. Excellent service. Thanks for an amazing time. Will come back.
Absolutely gorgeous pub just outside of Banbury! We called in on a Sunday and had a table on the lower terrace...more casual than the upper canopied terrace and the inside but just as good. Lovely menu, delicious Sunday roast! Delicious dessert and a great selection of beers! Fantastic surroundings for little ones, our 1 year old roamed around the grounds looking at sheep over the fence and sitting on the tractor! Slightly more pricey than other pubs but we think worth it. Every member of staff we encountered was lovely! We will definitely be back!
Nice food, lovely atmosphere but service was sadly lacking. 10-15min wait at the bar before being seated, with the bartender then being the one to take us to our seats. No menus given once seated, had to chase our drinks order and also had to wait a while for payment to be taken. It felt busy considering the time of year due to a promotional discount. It also felt short staffed for the number of covers. Fingers crossed this can be addressed going forward as it could be a good destination pub.
The Falcon at Warmington was a quaint country pub just south of Gaydon. It's vintage building combined with modern and suttle styling such as the signage on the outside gave it a welcoming feel when arriving. Inside, a cosy and lively atmosphere was in full swing. A little firepit in the middle of the bar and an extensive bar was the norm. As per all Brunning and Price pubs, the furniture was quirky but comfortable. Service from the team was excellent with all team members being warm and friendly throughout. I was shown to a table promptly. The location was clean and tidy. I had the following today: Starter - Chicken gyoza, tamari, sesame and ginger dressing * This was just gorgeous. Lightly battered on the outside and well filled on the inside. Rich in flavour. The dressing was nice and sweet. Resembles Wagamama quite closely. Main - Steak burger, beer onions, grilled pancetta, Monterey Jack, spiced tomato mayonnaise, fries * When this came out, you could just tell the burger was going to taste great. The cheese oozing off on the side and that bacon cooked well through. The burger itself was so succulent and juicy. The chips were well salted and a good colour. Definitely one of my favourites. Dessert - Chocolate and cherry tart with Raspberry Ripple ice cream * I do love my tarts and this one is vegan. Straight to the point. Rich taste. Melts in your mouth. Creamy ice cream. Perfect! I would recommend and visit this restaurant again. 10/10 really no issues at all on my visit.
Lovely looking place, surprised after the long drive to The Falcon that they don't serve food till 17:00. They are open from 11:00 and I wasn't able to find anything online about food service times. Also just to warn people, the entrance/exit is to a fast road.
Great service, wonderful atmosphere. Food and staff wonderful Easy to park. Staff confident and proud rightly so of their food and drink offerings. Good selection of real ales. Only 30 mins from Warwick Castle A great find Definitely worth stopping by
The food was lovely and the saff are so friendly and helpfull! The garden area is gorgeous, even though the weather took a turn for the worst there were heaters and blankets provided and I thought this was a perfect little touch. Will definitely be going again!
Beautiful pub with the loveliest views. Glorious inside and out, the menu is varied and food delicious. Great service.
