This place used to have a great carvery. 😔. Not keen on the changes.
28th January. Update, carvery back, that's the good bit. Booked table for 1:30 arrived looking forward to their legendary carvery, shocked to be told that they had "run out of vegetables" but we could order from the main menu. Even more shocked to see that people who arrived after us were offered carvery.  Also we were squashed into the conservatory when there was plenty of seats available elsewhere.
To add insult to injury, after eating our main course we were hoping to have a sweet, but after waiting 15 minutes for the table to be cleared finally gave up and walked out.
Don't know what has happened to this place but this regular visitor will not be going back.

Nice atmosphere, trendy decor - has been recently been refurbished. Nice decking area out front and rear. Decent food and reasonable prices.

Good traditional style British pub built to modern standards. Plenty of room inside with tables outside. Occasional entertainment (important now the Atlas is gone) And good selection of food. The hotel rooms are rated high as is the professional service.
