This is not a 5 star hotel, but I have given it 5 stars For what they charge and the service.nnRooms are well kept and tidy.nPerson who checked us in was helpful.nnAll the negative reviews I had read, not found 1 to be the case.nnIt’s not a 5 star hotel venue. But a great option for working away or a last min stay.

Cannot comment on the rooms as we did not stay.  Went for a couple of hours after we had been suit shopping for my son's upcoming wedding.  I don't drink alcohol medical reasons and was on Diet Coke which came in the traditional coke glass bottle rather than being 'on tap'.  We also had food.  I had the fish and chips with minted mushy peas.  The food came within what I thought was a very reasonable time, it was well cooked and presented, hot and tasted great.  No complaints.

Stayed here for 1 night after an event. Freindly welcome by young girl who gave us our room key. Room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed but the lighting is awful. Very dark lighting with only a few spotlights.nWe had the worst night and were not able to sleep due to the thin paper like walls which allows you to hear the people in the next room.nnWe could hear everything and i mean everything and it didn't help that the people next to us were drunk and noisy until 2am!!nThe constant slamming of doors was unbearable and there is no receptionist or member of staff on site after 11 when their pub shuts so there is absolutely nobody to contact who can deal with anti social guests. You're just left to put up with it and not get any sleep.nnTo top it all off, we were also awakened by the pungent smell of weed. Although the owner is not responsible for guests behaviour there should be someone on call to deal with any troublesome guests and ensure that everyone can have a good nights sleep as that is what we paid for afterall. I can 100% say that i will never stay here again! Pay abit extra and stay in a decent hotel

Had Sunday lunch, all fresh veg not frozen. Nice choice of three meats, beef, pork and turkey. Very good value at 2 for £10.  The lager was a very reasonable price unlike the evening price. Definitely go again.
