Amazing food each time I’m in here. Lovely staff and a great atmosphere especially when sitting outside in the summer.
The most awful burger I have eaten out. Popped I. For a quick lunch with my son and thought this sort of place will do a burger well. It was definitely not made in house. It was tough, and dense with a strong onion flavour. Like a cheap frozen one. We both left half of them as inedible. Service lovely though
We were very disappointed with our experience. After waiting over 45 minutes for our food, we ended up cancelling our order. Several tables who arrived after us were served before us, which was frustrating. We informed the waitress that we had been waiting a long time, but there was no apology or explanation.nWhen we later spoke to the manager, there was again no apology; we were simply told that the staff were very stressed.nnThe manager was also dismissive and rude, which made the situation even more disappointing.nnIn the end, my wife and I left, while our daughter and her grandad stayed behind waiting for their food. To make matters worse, our daughter had explicitly asked for no syrup on her pancakes, yet they arrived with extra syrup, so she didn’t really enjoy her meal anyway.nnWe’ve had poor experiences here before and decided to give it another try today, but unfortunately this has confirmed that we won’t be returning. Busy periods happen, but a lack of communication, attention to detail and basic courtesy is disappointing.
I made a reservation last week for the 8th Feb at 2:30pm for my Brothers 21st birthday- on the phone I asked if it was okay to bring a birthday cake the girl on the phone was polite and said yes that’s fine- when I arrived with the cake to hand to the waitress she seemed surprised that I had a cake and wouldn’t even give us eye contact, She was completely uninterested and told me the only place she could put it was outside. Once all 7 of us sat down for our meal I thought I’d tell another waitress about the cake because of the first waitresses attitude so I mentioned to 2 staff members about the cake we had our meal it was lovely good compliments to the Chefs because the food is always great! One expensive meal later that included a service charge! i thought that maybe the cake would come out to sing Happy Birthday. But it didn’t come out! It’s a Shame really because actually not one waitress smiled the whole time we were there- I wasn’t going to even write this review but now I think it’s necessary! And once I paid I asked the waitress about the cake and her reply was ‘’is there even any point now’’ ‘’ might as-well do it at home’’ I wasn’t happy and was shocked I told two waitresses so I thought at least one of them would bring it out. I don’t think it’s a lot to ask but hey ho it is what it is- safe to say the food it’s always good but the waitresses the women were miserable .
We visited the estuary on Monday for lunchtime we didn't have any reservation but the venue wasn't that busy, we ordered the estuary burger and the breaded goat cheese salad, the portions are a good size and if you order the mains normally they come with two sides, even chicken wings!!.nnThe vibes in the restaurant were good but a little bit tight between tables, it wasn't that busy so the service was quick and easy and the food came relatively quickly.nnPersonally the onion rings on the burger weren't that great and the salad was short of beetroots just a few here and there but definitely it was tasty.nnThank you so much to the staff for the service.
