The Engine Shed is a beautiful venue. With beautiful features. It has the most magnificent dance floor and is the perfect size for most occasions. The staff are warm and friendly and very attentive.
We cannot thank the amazing team at the Engine Shed enough for making our wedding just perfect. The venue itself feels so warm and fun and quirky - it's a really special and unique setting for a wedding or celebration. Having the balcony with the lights over it just feels magical. But the people!! Jen was our wedding coordinator and nothing was too much trouble for her and she so happily accepted and supported the more unusual aspects we wanted in our wedding such as specific beers and games. She really put us at ease all the way leading to it and during even when we needed a more adulty adult to advise us on how to cut a wedding cake!!. Dave is the most amazing chef and the food was exceptional. We chose a barbecue style with grazing tables and the food was so tasty and there was so much of it. I've often been to weddings where the food hasn't quite been enough - absolutely no fear of that here. Our guests commented on it being one of the best weddings they've ever been to with the best food. I couldn't recommend it more, and my new husband and I are already looking for more events we can go to there! Jen, Dave, Lee, Jan and all the team - thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We would very happily fully recommend the Engine Shed as a Wedding venue or for any other party you’d like to have!nnFrom venue searching to aftercare, we have had a thoroughly positive experience celebrating our wedding here. Venue searching was the worst part of wedding planning for us as often venues make costs hard to see and a bit convoluted. However, with the Engine Shed we loved that everything was up front and easy to find through the website without needing to even email. Helping to save emails and time from the start. When we did go and visit for the first time, Lee who worked with us throughout was so relaxed and friendly and made everything feel really simple and easy. This ‘vibe’ continued throughout the whole process to the day itself where everything ran so smoothly and well - we had so many comments from guests about how well the staff/Lee ran everything! Nothing seemed too difficult to manage for Lee and the Engine Shed staff. Most of the vendors we used were recommended by the Engine Shed or we found them at one of their wedding fairs - all of whom were great and we would also recommend. It all made for a stress free planning process.nnWe loved the venue itself from the moment we walked in on our first visit - the space was so fun and different and just felt perfect for us. The venue stylist Treasured Occasions who came as part of the wedding package we went for, then made the venue look just beautiful for our day - they were really flexible and could easily work with our colour scheme and ‘look’ to make it all feel just right on our day. We absolutely loved how it all came together and again got so many comments from guests about how great the venue looked and worked for the whole day.nnAs part of our package, our wedding breakfast was a Carvery, which was perfect for us. It was also absolutely delicious and again we had lots of great feedback from guests about the food. There was also a fun twist, where we secretly chose a carver for each table who were ’surprised’ on the day - creating some fun and excitement around the meal. We then had ‘hot sandwiches’ for the evening food e.g. sausage, bacon, fish along with chips - and when we asked if we could source ‘square sausage’ for this a Scottish delicacy instead of regular sausages, Lee immediately swapped this in and took on sourcing it for us, which was amazing! They could cater for all dietary needs regardless of the reason, which was great as we did have a large number of guests with different needs. We also really liked that we could go for a drinks token system rather than wine for the tables - to help more easily cater for those avoiding alcohol and those not so keen on wine.nnLong story short - we had the absolutely best Wedding day at the Engine Shed and we can’t recommend them highly enough! It's so easy to see why they are award winning.
Celebrated our daughter’s 21st birthday at the Engine Shed on the 9th March. Beautiful venue, amazing food and great staff. We had a very special evening. Mandy & David Quayle
Thoroughly enjoyed my daughters wedding. Great to meet up with all the family . Excellent wedding breakfast, I highly recommend this venue for any function.
