Abysmal service. Impossible to get an appointment, reception staff are rude and defensive off the bat and the booking system is deliberately designed to put you off and frustrate you into just giving up, which I eventually did and left the practice. We all know how funding for the nhs has been neglected and areas sold off for profit by the last government but we still have to get treatment somewhere and this practice is the worst I’ve ever experienced.
I cannot fault the care myself and my family have from Emsworth surgery. I have always managed to get an apt and in the two emergency appointments I needed for my child we have been seen the same day. If you just say what you need when and why they will help you. Dr Tang is the first GP we have seen regularly and has been amazing. The nurse that does the bloods and cervical screening is so lovely! And surgery put on two nurses to do my child’s vaccinations meaning it was over and done without fuss this service I hope they keep it made a potentially difficult day easy We of course have the odd hiccup but it’s never not sorted. I wish there was a better way to contact the GP for non urgent matters as sometime a Econsulant closes early but you don’t need something there and then. The parking is rubbish! - wish they could get an agreement with the council for one hour free parking at least The new practice is lovely We moved out of area and still continued our care here as I don’t want to be in a new place with lower standards
Incredibly fustrating. Asked for a medication review for an antidepressant dosage increase + they forced me to have a review for pain meds and wouldnt let me reorder it until i had the appointment. They were meant to call me the day after. They didn't call me, or within the week, at all. I then called again the next week can't even call on weekends asked them to chase it up. Receptionist said I would get called the next day, and then at the end of the call said "oh but it might not be tomorrow but within the week". On the day of the appointment, they for some reason called my mum instead? Even though its my number on file? Had to call the gp myself again and then finally got called. This was for an antidepressant and my pain medication. Two things I NEED.
Susan is amazing and made me feel at ease before my travel vaccinations. 5 stars!
Emsworth surgery is a complete shambles! You can only fill in an E-Consult at certain times, then receive a reply to say that a Doctor will call in 1 weeks time which they did not! I received a message instead to advise a letter had been sent it had not! and then finally want to charge £40 for something that according to NHS website should be free!. You might think that this review is someone moaning but believe me I am at the end of my tether with this surgery after experiencing this kind of incompetence time and time again. Had to give one star for this post to register, but honestly wanted to give zero.
I made a appointment for call back today from north street surgery. The first call back I missed due to not being able to get to my phone quickly. I then received I txt from Dr Denby saying they would call back within the next four hours so I waited till 3pm no fall has my phone at my side at all times at home. Nobcaol so I rang the drs to see why not to be told they tried ringing at 2 1.50 sorry a lie I had no call to my mobile at all I can prove there was no miss ed call at all. More or less called a lier by the receptionist. well he's fully booked now so have to e to ring Monday I'm fuming having ng only come out of hospital few days ago being diagnosed with a clot in my brain and being treated by the hospital for this.
The booking system is a disgrace. The receptionists are lovely but are just there to run defence to stop people coming in. I've not been to the GP in 15 years, I've called because i need to be seen. I've had 2 phone call 'appointments' and all that has happened is that the infection has progressively got worse. I'll just go and waste everyone's time at A&E then. YOU ARE A GP - YOU CAN ONLY DO THAT IN PERSON.
Needed to register for a new Gp and surgery. Receptionist very helpful and processed my registration forms. Later received emails of new doctor and how to access online services. Very good service.
Caring, considerate, understanding, helpful. Thank you for all you have done, and continue to do for my mental health.
I have been with Emsworth Surgery all 52 years of my life. They have looked after me for all that time. I am very grateful for the kindness, help and care I have received from the moment I call, or pop in to arrange an appointment, or see the doctor. By far my biggest thank you, to everyone there, is for the way they looked after my recently departed Mum. She suffered from a multitude of problems for 20 years requiring many many visits to the Surgery. Every time she was treated with care, respect and dignity. That meant a lot to both of us. When you are ill, or a family member, relative or friend is ill, it is a bad time for all involved. It may be you that is sick, or worry for someone else. I cannot imagine the stress of dealing with hundreds of anxious, ill, worried people. Yet the receptionists and GPs have to. Not for a moment, or a day, or a week, but for months on end. Non stop. There are far too few of these precious people looking after US. They are amazing people. Every one. They deserve our greatest respect. Please, when you feel ill, bad, fed up, anxious, remember these people CARE. More than you can imagine. They will do everything in their power to help you. I speak from first hand experience with my Mum. Thank you Emsworth Surgery. All of you. You are great. Adam Please, when you feel awful, and you phone up, or drop in, please be kind too.
