A lovely former chapel converted into a cafe/bar/restaurant, with calm nooks and crannies on two floors and two additional landings in this relaxing environment. (The lower ground floor is an extra retail floor with an emporium of chic household soft furnishings, ornamentation etc). The menu seems to have been recently updated, and is very good. We had breakfast today, with a range of traditional and more modern dishes available. The service was welcoming and friendly. My only criticism is that it lived up (or down?) to its local reputation of slow and slightly chaotic service - the food takes ages to come, don't go if you're in a hurry, and the waiters don't seem to have zones, so don't check regularly, or notice when you're trying to catch their attention. Having said that, it's a minor issue for a very nice breakfast experience.

Quite a wide selection of meals. The pizza's looked delicious. Lovely hot chocolate, with chips and sandwiches. Service quick, servers pleasant and some interesting decour. Same as my visit seven years before

Little bit expensive for the food and drink. Service was slow which was frustrating with 2 hungry small kids.

A great place for relaxing to enjoy good food and drink. The building includes a retail area and cafe/bar area upstairs ( ground floor level) Nice touch...daily newspapers available to read while enjoying lunch, a beer, tea and cake etc. 😊😊
