Cannot recommend enough. I am vegan and when planning my trip to this area camping for 3 days I prepped and packed all my own food as I know it can be tricky to find vegan meals in more remote areas. The menu for Eating Gorilla was displayed in the campsite. I have been here every day of my stay - everything is homemade, there is delicious choice some tofu, some meat replacement, some whole foods, drinks, cakes, pastries. I can't get over it. Even the brand is fantastic, with a range of local vegan products such as soaps for sale, and t shirts for sale which raises money for a gorilla foundation. I love this place so much, food was incredible, staff are delightful. I will be back every time I visit Wales. It is not often you find somewhere that you utterly feel at home, and completely in line. I didn't have my dog with my this trip, but, its dog friendly. Seriously, what more could you want. As mentioned I visited on my own and spent a couple of hours there each day, reading etc to avoid the storms! And was made totally comfortable. Thank you for creating such a beautiful haven.
Yummy! Excellent veg options, and great tasting food says an Indian On tour of North Wales I came across this cafe. The options and portions were great. The milkshake was soothing for the hot afternoon. I just loved the cauliflower wings with hot sauce and the house dip was too good. Will definitely visit again if I am in the area.
We loved our lunch at The Eating Gorilla! Really friendly, chatty and helpful staff, the best chips we've ever had! Nearly all items can be made gluten free, so accommodating. Loved the layout and all the gorillas! Quite a few shop items too! Amazing place
Awesome food, Lovely atmosphere and the owners were great. 100% Vegan and like the fact that you can eat in or buy stuff to take away. Small amount of seating outside aswell just great
This place is amazing! The food is so tasty and the portions are huge!! The staff are extremely friendly and there is a wide range of products to buy! We need to visit again as we were too full to sample the milkshakes and cakes!!
Considering how hard it is to find anywhere providing options for vegan meals, we were recommended this place by our B&B owners and boy were they spot on! This place is fabulous. Wholly vegan with gluten free available. We both opted for the chickenless bbq wrap, delicious! Also providing take out, we left with smoothies and sausage rolls to munch on later. Will most definitely be returning next time we're in the area
Just WOW!! Delicious. Really glad we searched online and found you before coming on holiday. More than perfect ! The burger was the best we've ever had and the Southern fried chicken was really tasty. Loved that we could get it as a take out. We may change our plans this week so we can return to try other dishes. Thank you
This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem! Right away the ambeance of The Eating Gorilla is a happy cheerful one with great customer service and some great tunes as well. The food was so delicious and served to us very quickly! We had great constant customer service from our server and I really can't think of anything negative about my time here. It also is amazing to know that some of what paid for is going directly into conservation of Silverback gorillas! Whenever I'm around this part of Wales again I definitely will come again, and you should too!
Great little accidental find. Lovely range of vegan meals, very generous portions. Great service, friendly staff. Would happily visit again! Just FYI - make sure you read the menu properly unlike my other half who ended up with an actual real donut on top of his "Freak Shake" haha! He managed to eat it all though somehow!
Probably the best burger I've ever had. Excellent char-grill flavour, great consistency without being too close to real meat which can put me off. My Wife had their Gryos which I was lucky enough to taste. That was also excellent. Definitely be heading back for breakfast in the morning!
