Service was exceptional! Everyone we spoke to made the time to make us feel welcome and have a little chit chat.nnWe were served by Jess we think who was on her trial shift but was friendly, attentive and had great rapport.nnFood was outstanding! So many different dishes and pastries that we hadn’t come across before.nnWould absolutely recommend this incredible gem
The food is amazing. Prices are a little high but overall I think the quality is very good so it feels worth it. The coffee is beautiful and the staff are lovely. I found the French toast too sweet with the syrup so an option of outing the syrup would have been better but otherwise I’ve always loved the food and will keep coming back. Highly recommend. It does get busy so be prepared to wait for a table.
Been here a couple times as I think these are some of the best pastries in the area in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere, I like that they always change their menu and whilst always having the classics there is always something new to try! Including some interesting drinks! I’ve had the pistachio croissant and sticky toffee pudding supreme during my visits. But I fear I need to try everything else!!nNot tried the brunch menu yet as it does look a little pricey, but I’m sure this reflects their quality as others have said
I’ve come here over the years for takeaways, with friends and family and to just get admin work done. I really liked this bakery and the staff are so so nice. However, since they expanded the bakery, it’s just become chaotic.nThey’ve lost some nice staff due to not accommodating for the expansion. For example, they should have made a separate coffee bar so that there is space for a bigger coffee machine for at least 2x staff to focus on hot drinks.n1 poor staff member sweating over trying to make the whole bakery’s coffees and all the takeaway drinks.nnFreeing up space by having a separate drinks making space would allow for more space in the front for 2x tills as there are cues now.nnOnly 1x till also means that another staff member is stuck by themselves dealing with orders, takeaways and all the online orders. The staff honestly look quite stressed, I really feel for them. Especially as they are so nice to me, and a few of the female staff I get on well with.nnOnce this is addressed it would be back to 5 stars as a rating!nnOther than that, the bakery items are good quality, food is really nice, creative flavours although quite pricey these days. I would not want to pay more if the prices went up further.nThe coffee is also quite nice and I really like the in house creations such as the miso caramel which you can also buy in store!
I visited this cafe for my Birthday this year as I was impressed with the reviews. I had the miso caramel latte and the Turkish eggs and this is probably the most disappointing breakfast I’ve had - shame it had to be on my birthday!nnI would not recommend both items, not sure how they even got on the menu. The Turkish eggs were just swimming in oil rather than a drizzle, the flavours of the aubergine were off putting and I was surprised with the addition of carrots, it didn’t need them.nnAlso, there was a man at the tills, he was very loud whilst he was talking to staff, and came across as obnoxious. He really just made the atmosphere of the cafe uncomfortable to be in.nnOverall, I wouldn’t recommend this cafe as it’s very over priced for what you get. Maybe just a pastry would have been a better option as they did look delicious!
