Eagle hotelnnRoom reasonably spacious, clean and a comfy bed. Shower weak with sensitive temperature adjustment.nSome chairs need attention, either wobbly and don't feel safe or no padding both in the bars and the one in room 11.nService was a little 'easy going', no great enthusiasm. We sat down but no menus were brought to us, then read the sign to order food at the bar. Fetched ourselves a menu and ordered. Works okay if you're used to it I suppose.nWhen the food came it was very good. Nice burger and very good chips. The home made lasagne was very nice with lovely garlic bread, plenty of garlic on it, which was great. I would have preferred the salad and coleslaw on a separate plate though. Overall a very pleasant pub meal.
Really old hotel right on the river, we had a 4 poster room with views of the river and the tea rooms, which was so nice. The rooms are nice, although don't expect modern, it's all very old and quirky, very old antique furniture etc. Bathrooms are nice though, although the hot water takes a while to come through. Staff are really helpful & friendly. Great breakfast, but not many choices for alternative diet options.
Great food! We had an evening meal at the Hotel last Wednesday. My husband had the Indian mixed grill which was he really enjoyed, and I had the best steak and Guinness pie ever! Meat so tender and just gorgeous. Big portions. No complaints here!
Absolutely gutted. Booked this through Airbnb and received a call the day before the booking and told to cancel the booking as they had no water so would refund me. I told them how would I know I would get a refund and they said they would receive an email and then send it. Still haven’t received the refund and no response from the venue
Food and professionalism of the staff males way below any acceptable standard of a hotel. Male staff sat on their phones, clue less, like they have been dragged off the street. not interested in interacting with customers, food was very average. Over cooked chips and gammon. Is really that difficult? They make it look like it is..
