Excellent place to visit. Always a good selection of high quality, well priced food with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. We've enjoyed many good family meals here.Food: 5/5
Fabulous place to eat, the steak linguine was amazing. Great service, friendly staff.....highly recommend this place Food: 5/5
The Dyffryn Arms is located in a rural area. As indicated above the food is outstanding and the staff are very pleasant indeed. The Dyffryn was busy but the service was very efficient and timely. I would strongly advise a visit to this public house which has a child play area outdoors. Excellent experience.Food: 5/5
Had a ribeye steak. Asked for Med rare and it was well done. It was also chewy and hard to cut with a knife! I have not visited in years and also found it very run down/dirty. Men’s toilets were dirty/broken windows etc. you would get a better steak in Wetherspoons!!
It was the worst meal we've had in this place. We've been to this place many times but on this occasion the 4 meals we had were not to the same standard as before! The steak I had was tough the fish that two people had was not fresh, the chips looked and tasted as if they had been reheated ,probably from the previous evening ,as we were the first customers in that day. There were only two people serving the meals and the bar,who were run off their feet and the place soon filled up, the telephone hardly stopped ringing and the barman was telling customers that they did not have table's available. We were asked " how was the meal and complained about the chips but before we could say anymore, he rushed off stating that he would tell the chef No apology. Not good enough, I will not be back and will inform my friends of the poor experience we had!!
Lamb was tough and took a lot of chewing and was expensive. Some staff may benefit from customer service training, being polite costs nothing but it can cost you when customers don't return!Food: 3/5
Started off well with the starter and main , then no one asked us if we wanted to see dessert menu, so when we asked about a dessert , they said the dessert area was now closed. They offered us just a choice of 3 which we said no to. Also looking at carpet it was filthy caked in dirt. The chairs were too wide for the table hence not being able to get on and off the chair easily . Shame really as it was my sister's birthday meal Very disappointed
Absolutely loved it here. Lovely pub with the homely feel. Food was incredible and highly recommended, it was tasty, fresh and the portions were just right. To top it off, they had proper chips....lush! Highly recommended
Nice place to eat and the food was good. Staff very polite and friendly. Would recommend.
We visited lunch time over a month ago and had a lovely meal & good service. I returned with friends a few weeks later as I had recommended based on a positive experience. Sadly the evening return meal with friends wasn't as good as before. Service slap dash, not given or informed about their specials when other tables had been provided with a board detailing specials on arrival. I'd asked for a white wine spritzer given a large wine. When I queried this I was told the soda was in the wine glass it clearly was not. My friend ordered a large wine and the wine amount was the same as mine! She then brought over a separate glass of soda. When paying after we'd finished, I asked about the specials board and said we weren't told about the other dishes & off handedly told "it's up there" as if we were supposed to see on the way in above the wall. No customer service at all. We all felt a bit awkward anc made to feel this was our fault. We may return but definitely not in a hurry! The meals were OK and tasty. Shame about the little things, that actually do matter.
