An institution, such a great place to sit and look around, I called in on a hot Sunday, Bessie was having a nap so spoke with her son who sorted us with a good Bass ale. Highly recommended for the experience, no frills and nowhere else like it
Fantastic pub, it’s like a time capsule of how pubs used to be. Great pint of Bass decanted into a jug from the barrel and then into a glass.
My first visit to this very characterful pub, I loved it. The lady behind the bar hatch was lovely, great customer service. We will definitely be back.
Great old fashion pub. If you are in the area pay a visit
Very friendly lady behind bar and nice pint of Bass wish I could of stayed longer, thank you hope to come back
Without question the greatest pub not only in Wales, not only in the UK, but in the world - a public house in the true sense - stop by for a piece of living history, a thirst-quenching pint of Bass, and a Freddo, and you'll be ready for a day exploring the extraordinary Gwaun Valley - not to be missed...
What a gem! Not enough superlatives for this pub. A pint of Bass such as I haven't had for 40 years. If you're in the area please go and support them. Fantastic!!
Unique pub, fantastic location. Stopping in for a drink is a great idea when driving or cycling the valley road.
Fantastic bass, quirky pub, really enjoyed
A little step back to a locals local. Cheers to this pub, long may it last Bass pub in the world they say!
