The rudest reception staff you could ever encounter. If you like being mocked down the phone and treated like an annoyance I would recommend giving them a call. I don’t know anyone who is particularly happy with anything about the surgery
This surgery is amazing! The receptionists are actually friendly and helpful, and the Drs are amazing they actually listen to you and take you seriously even as a female lol Sent in an econsult form, was booked straight in for bloods and ECG, booked straight in to the GP and an appointment at QA booked the very next day from the GP. Overall amazing!
We have recently moved to The Drayton Surgery from another and are so impressed with how efficient and personable the staff and Service is. From the friendly receptionist, whether in person or on the phone, the nurse or doctor, it has been seamless. I’ve managed to get an appointment for my list of ailments that I was unable to be seen about, previously, all in the space of a week. Highly recommend!
I'd like to leave a review for Linda, one of your care navigators! She is a total assett to the practice. Linda was able to sort out an issue I've had for several weeks. She was good humoured and extremely helpful. Thank you Linda it was a pleasure to speak to you!
Having left probably now Hampshire's worst surgery I managed to join Drayton and what a difference! Staff are lovely and helpful, repeat prescriptions on time and never need to keep chasing them. Appointments always available should you need them quickly. A gem to find. Ps. Thankgod you didn't employ "it" from the other one star review! I imagine a troll but still, hats off and a drink to the lady if you did do that interview otherwise I think you'd be losing patients!! Empathy is needed not narcism in this role.
Terrible terrible surgery. GPs have not got a clue. They say the same thing every time we visit. We won’t bother anymore we will call 111 direct as the doctors we get to see in lake road are much better than here. Very disappointed in our local practice.
Used the e-consult process after speaking to a pharmacist. A doctor called me well within the suggested timeframe and made me a same day appointment. Everyone I had contact with were great and made me feel as though my care really mattered. Thankyou!
You can tell a lot about an environment when you look behind the scenes. I had a job interview for a reception position here, because I was looking for a job but, because my current one is well paying, I was in no rush. In the interview, the chief receptionist opened the discussion by commenting "We don't often get MEN applying for these positions." Which was... an odd statement. Especially because I'm non-binary and don't identify as male. So a big assumption, and it felt a bit gatekeeping-ey. I told her "I didn't know this was a gender-exclusionary position" and she proceeded to explain why it wasn't, which left me wondering why she'd make a point to say it? So that was a big red flag, and several others immediately cropped up during the very short interview. She spoke in a very condescending manner, and interrupted me several times, all of which I've learned are very strong red flags over my years of experience. I told her that I was no longer interested, and she seemed genuinely shocked; it seemed she was more shocked that I'd dared to say 'no'. But I got a really bad vibe from her behaviour, and I've learned to trust my instincts over such things. *edit* Since posting this, the surgery's reception manager has contacted me - not via google reviews reply function, but by committing an internet search upon me and stalking around to find my personal business email address! I can only deduce the intent of acting so unprofessionally and with such disregard for privacy legislation and personal boundaries was purely for intimidation! I'm glad I'm not a patient there, otherwise goodness knows what this person might do with my personal data! Trust the red flags, people.
Had to speak to 2 different receptionists today. The first lady was absolutely lovely. Really pleasent to speak to and very understanding of my issue. I had to call back as the econsult was closed for the Bank Holiday so I wanted to just let the surgery know and see if there was an alternative route for my treatment. The second woman, however, not as friendly as the first. Rude and frosty when I was talking to her and as I am more recently needing to contact the doctors a bit more often due to my health she was really rude to me when she found out who I was, saying "okay and what's wrong with you today" in a really rude and condescending manner. I calmly explained my issue and she responded with "that's not something we'll deal with today" in a quite snarky way. I understand that with it being the bank holiday they'll be a little stretched but to be outright rude is completely unnecessary. I really hope you begin training them on proper people skills.
Hello, I did an e consult as advised on the call into the surgery, as a long queue. I was No. 14 so I duly completed the on line questions and received an email saying a doctor would call me at the latest within two days time. I never received the call, email or advisory text. Secondly I've had a text to book a routine blood test, but feel what's the point. Struggle to get through on the telephone. We're told to not feel we can't contact our GP's with our health, but my experience what's the point!!
